AG Alan Wilson secures his future in redefining marriage fight

S.C. Attorney General Alan Wilson, Thursday, formally appealed a ruling by U.S. District Court Judge Richard Gergel against the law that defines marriage as between a man and a woman.

Wilson has been unwavering in the face of a one-sided media assault against him, in favor of the homosexual lobby, that represents a very small portion of political special interests.

Because of his fight to uphold the definition of marriage - that about 80 percent of South Carolinians agree with him on – Wilson will be sitting pretty.

Often courage against bullies on the left bode well for elected officials in the long run.

Look for Wilson to be a very popular candidate for future elected offices after his terms as AG are over.

Wilson's father is U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson. Could he be cutting his teeth to follow his father in Washington DC?

And if a well-supported candidate, with true Conservative credentials, were to run for a US senate seat in S.C. could he beat an incumbent that does not thrill the base of the GOP in South Carolina?

That one is unlikely since they both employ the same consultant. 

Regardless, Wilson is doing the right things for his future, no matter how you hear media and activists portray it.

Just look at the Nov. 4, election results if you want to know what pleasing the media will do for you.

Wilson is working for the people and we will not forget his effort.   

Conservative South Carolina being governed by liberal judges?

Do we need a legislature, when the
courts do as they please in regard to the
Constitution and law? 

South Carolina voters are not as “stupid” as some in the Obama Administration say we are.

We know Conservative ideology, when followed, produces positive results. But despite our votes for Republicans, in overwhelming numbers, our left-tilting courts are undermining the wishes of the voters.

It's time for the state's legislators to take a look at these courts, and other appointed governing bodies, to see that the will of the people is being done.

The S.C. Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that the state does not provide a “minimally adequate” education to children in poorly performing districts.

Technically the court is aligning with Democrat politicians, and activists, to blame a lack of money for underachievement and failure.

But in most every poorly performing district, teenage pregnancy and single parents are at much higher rates than more successful districts. Where Democrats rule, the importance that sound moral decisions have on success, seems to take a backseat. Other social factors, like dependency on government, plague areas of our state that never seem to do any better academically, despite giving them more and more money.

In his dissent, SCOSC Justice John Kittredge wrote: “I view the Court’s decision as a policy opinion on the state of public education in South Carolina, in direct contravention of what this Court said it would not do in Abbeville I — act as a ‘super-legislature.’”

And he is 100 percent correct. It is the court trying to overwrite policy.

The S.C. Supreme Court, also on Wednesday, with the stroke of a pen, revoked the life sentences of 15 young murderers because their victims were killed while their murderers were juveniles.

The SCOSC said the juveniles have less capacity for mature decision-making, so they get a “get-out-of-jail free” card. Soft-on-crime liberals only spur more violence and murder. We any ill afford any more.

And it's not just judges. The S.C. Board of Education has let leftwing propaganda get into our high school courses. Our students are being taught a negative view of U.S. history, that omits important historical figures and events in an Advanced Placement U.S. history course. The course is being reviewed with no assurance – based on its affection for Common Core - the SC Education Board will find in favor of America. The course, critical of the U.S., does not mention U.S. founding fathers, civil rights leaders and military heroes.

Also on Wednesday , a lone federal judge (Gergel) stuck down a South Carolina constitutional provision that defined marriage between a man and a woman. That definition of marriage was supported by almost 80 percent of the South Carolina's voters.

So it's not just a state problem with leftwing activist judges. As Republican numbers are lifted by our voters, for federal offices, we need an effort to better vet judges to make sure the Constitution is their guide, not leftist political whims.

Media's uncontrolled hype not doing Gamecocks' Dawn Staley any favors

Basketball season is yet to start, and Columbia's other liberal newspaper, The Free Times, declares

The other newspaper, The State, says: “This year’s Gamecocks worth the wait for Dawn Staley?”

Did I fall asleep, only to wake up in a fair-media sports town?

The State pumping up a Gamecock sports team? How bizarre is that? Isn't The State always laughing at USC for having high hopes? 

For years columnists at The State, in mid-August, mocked USC fans with a “Hope Springs Eternal” epitaph, as if fans are ridiculous to hope for gridiron wins.

So what gives now?

A suddenly cheerleading sports reporter for The State said: “ I honestly don’t think that even (Staley,) as competitive a person as I’ve ever known, would have dreamed she’d have this kind of talent on one team.”

This is a newspaper that has a columnist named Ron Morris compare Football Coach Steve Spurrier to a child rape cover-up at Penn St. because Spurrier used a basketball player for football. That player is now in the NFL.

The Free Times – that wrung its hands over the declining number of Black MLB players – is now expert about wins and losses.

Free Times' Chris Trainor, in its ode to Staley, fawns over Staley's jet-black hair and point-guard hands like an awe-struck school girl.

Trainor proclaims the Lady Gamecocks (that seem to be stuck at the Sweet 16) are now a “bona fide national power.”

That's strange since Columbia media has an across-the-board edict that declares it unprofessional to say anything positive about the local program. 

Even as Spurrier produced one of the winningest programs in the nation in the last four years, it is taboo to give him credit for that.

You have to pull for Staley because she is likable and a very good basketball coach. But should the media be so giddy, and sure Staley will reach hoops nirvana?

Susan Walvius, Staley's predecessor, took the Gamecocks to the Elite Eight for the first time – and only time- in school history without nearly the fanfare or talent Staley is said to have.

The local media, no matter how hopeful it suddenly is for a USC program, is doing nothing but setting a very high standard. The same was done last year, and the Lady Gs did not meet the expectations.

No matter how much the media has attached itself to Staley's success, is it not doing her any favors by declaring such success before even one official game is played.

Basketball season is long, with lots of obstacles and competition. Just because the media so wants something to be true, to act as if already is, is folly, for sure.

Let's hope Staley ignores the “experts” who are acting as if she already has. Staley will have to be totally focused on her job, and hope for some luck, to get to where the media has already placed her. 

Wilson digs in to block redefinition of marriage by activist courts

In vowing to keep fighting, SC Attorney General Alan Wilson refers to a recent court victory against the homosexual lobby, that is working to redefine government-recognized marriage.

(COLUMBIA, S.C.)   South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson released the following statement:

“Today's ruling comes as no surprise and does not change the constitutional obligation of this Office to defend South Carolina law, including, but not necessarily limited to, appeal to the Fourth Circuit.  Therefore, we will immediately appeal to the Fourth Circuit.

“Also, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals recently upheld traditional marriage.  Therefore, we have opposing rulings between federal circuits, which means it is much more likely that the U.S. Supreme Court could resolve the matter at the national level. We believe this office has an obligation to defend state law as long as we have a viable path to do so.

Why not give South Carolina's budget surplus back to taxpayers?

The state of South Carolina will have a budget surplus of $283 million to spend when they go into

session in January.

The media is already running to Democrats to ask where to spend the money.
"Clearly roads would be at the top of that list,” says Sen. Joel Lourie, D-Columbia, who's on the Senate Finance Committee. “I think also we need to look at an issue like the Department of Social Services.”

That report came from WSPA-TV in Spartanburg.

There is always a spending frenzy over new government money taken from the taxpayers and given to the government. But why would you go to a Democrat to ask how to spend excess tax payments from the people? 

Democrats are the reason we waste too much now, and they have nothing to do with budget surpluses. Democrats should be asked how to make up for deficits, because they most likely cause those.

Maybe there is a Republican out there who will suggest giving the money back to the people they took it from, if they took too much. Imagine that.

Christian vs secular answers: A tale of two marches in Columbia

Last Saturday there were two marches in Columbia.

All some groups ever do is march, and it
just gets worse. 

One was a protest against guns, with references to Taoism, a civil rights anthem and support from Columbia’s Unitarian Universalists.

The second march included at least 200 Christians, praying for the healing of our culture that has become sicker as the influence of God is forced from the public square.

The 350-word anti-gun story in The State newspaper, was by-lined by Sarah Ellis. The 200-word report on the Christians bore no byline, but there were photos by Ellis.

The anti-gun protesters, who parrot the same old rhetoric, has seen violent crime become more prevalent in many of the communities from which the anti-gun activists hail.

During the anti-gun march, about 100 marched through downtown Columbia, chanting and pleading for “gun sense” and peace with members of Unitarian Universalist congregation.

The Peace Walk, sponsored by Columbia’s Faith Coalition on Gun Violence, brought together members of the interfaith community as well as law enforcement and civil rights activists.

Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook, joined the crowd in singing the civil rights anthem “We Shall Overcome” before walking to the State House.

Among the marchers were the usual array of coalitions, including one called: People United to Take Back Our Community. One group, according to The State travels around to support movements against gun violence and “injustice.”

Mostly these marchers advocate for gun laws and “reaching out to and understanding troubled youth and strengthening unity within communities to promote peace.”

These have been marching for decades, but solutions are elusive, despite their shrieks. 

The second march - The Stand rally - featured 200 people and pastors and congregations from Christian denominations from around the state.

Speaking was Dr. Kevin Baird of Legacy Church in Charleston. He is the director of the S.C. Pastors Alliance, which organized the rally. “We as pastors are here to say that we will not be silent. We will not be forced into some corner or closet.”

On the State House lawn, the marchers sang Christian hymns as pastors prayed for an end to societal ills, including abortion and the redefining of Christian marriage. They also prayed against the assault on religious liberties and persecution of their free speech.

Baird said the American culture is at a “tipping point.” And he is correct.

“Our sins are numerous, and no political party is exempt,” Baird said. “We intend to not only defend our values, but we intend to recover and restore our values.”
No public officials, like the police chief stood with Baird, according to The State's report. 

But maybe the Anti-Gun March should incorporate some of the values of The Christian March, and perhaps they will quit losing ground year after year.  

State newspaper pushing Obamacare, despite looming court ruling

Obamacare, passed only by Democrats,
remains highly unpopular. And majority
Republicans are calling for repeal.

The State newspaper, Tuesday, is bragging that Obamacare's “federal insurance marketplace

enrollment period begins Saturday.”

The State's Joey Hollemen calls the chance to sign up a “major step forward from last year,” and says the sign up “works well.”

But last Friday the US Supreme Court agreed to hear a case objecting to Obamacare insurance subsidies in states – like South Carolina- that did not set up Obamacare exchanges. 

The insurance subsidies are being challenged as illegal, but they are a major provision of Obamacare.

The government subsidies were devised to give people forced to buy insurance the money to pay for it. The legality of providing the extra government money in states that do not have their own insurance exchanges is being challenged. Only 16 states set up exchanges, the other 34 refused. The court is not likely to hear the case until the spring of 2015, but a ruling against Obamacare could gut it. 

Despite the dubious nature of Obamacare, The State's Holleman tells us to give the Obama government all of your vital personal information “and you get a list of dozens of plans available through the marketplace....”

“The website gives a rough estimate of the tax subsidy available based on age and income,” Holleman gushes. She tells us “a 36-year-old with $25,000 income in Lexington County would qualify for a $123.86 per month tax subsidy...” 

Holleman announces “There are 126 plans available in South Carolina this year...” and the “window shopping also makes it relatively easy to check each plans’ provider network.”

And if “the window shopping confuses you more than it helps you,” Holleman advises you to go “to signupsc.org to find out about local enrollment events or to get an appointment with a (government) trained navigator.”

But it may be a better idea to wait. 

In June, the US Supreme Court sided with companies that had religious objections over the Obamacare's requirement to provide birth control coverage, that could fore them to pay for abortions. That court's ruling forced the administration to adjust the regulations.

Based on the uncertain nature of Obamacare, it is extremely irresponsible for the media to lead insurance customers to a government system that has not been cleared by the courts.   

Liberals construct a new myth, warn demographics will save them

In the wake of the electoral beating Democrats took on Nov. 4, liberals have invented a new pattern of convenient myths to rationalize their most-recent rejection by the American people.
The following is a FB quote on the New York Times website from KD Patterson.
Patterson, in addition to Christian and white male bigotry (common among liberals) warns that demographics will rescue the Democrat Party.

"The primary reasons the GOP won this time around are gerrymandering, voter suppression, and low voter turnout. Barely a third of the eligible voting electorate participated in last week's elections. Long-term demographics are against the GOP, which serves only rich white regressive Christian male interests at the expense of everyone - and everything - else. The past two presidential elections have rather vividly shown that when the majority of citizens bother to vote, the Democrats win. They also tend to win in the cities, where the nation's levels of wealth and education are highest. Having said this, it is also clear that the two-party system is irrevocably broken. The mid-term elections make it abundantly clear that we are far from electing our best and our brightest. So long as large segments of the electorate remain apathetic and those who do bother to vote continue to put regressives and zealots in high positions of power, we will continue our rate of national decline. Given the quality of the people the GOP has chosen to represent their interests, I fully expect us to embark on a fast track to the bottom." KD Patterson, liberal. 

Ironically, suppressed participation in Obama's workforce is a cause of celebration, it is the excuse-du-jour for their abysmal showing at the polls. Liberals are extremely comical right now, as they try to deal with their defeat.

Haley ascends and increases chance for Gov. Henry McMaster?

When asked about her plans of accepting a higher (national) office, Gov. Nikki Haley will not answer. 

She said she is focused on the the present. And that leaves the door wide open for the young and attractive Haley to move up.

Haley is coming off of a highly successful re-election campaign. She was sent back to the Governor's Mansion by a 15-point margin.

On top of that, Republicans across the country are soaring. The GOP is seeing a diversity of African-Americans, women and “Repsect-for-America” enthusiasts rising, at a time when the country most needs them.

Setting the course

And Haley, by almost magically separating from a field of seasoned men in 2010, set herself on a course that has no ceiling. She has made the right moves afterward.

Example: the media saw Haley's 2014 decision to direct millions more for poor schools as a campaign ploy to thwart Democrat opponent Vincent Sheheen. It was much more than that.

As a national candidate, Haley can point to her focus on the least-achieving, most-needy students as a calling card. Extending a hand to the struggling, as Haley has done to welfare recipients, shields her from attacks that rich Republicans don't care. And though the media is quick to call her a Lexington Republican, Haley grew up, the child of immigrants, in Bamberg, one of the most impoverished sections of the state. Talk about “street cred.”

And then there is economic development

At a time when there is no real job growth nationally, South Carolina landed Amazon and Nephron Pharmaceuticals in Lexington County. 

In addition to that, several tire manufacturers, among other industries, announced the moving of thousands of jobs to South Carolina during Haley's first term.

Employment, or the economy, is THE NO. 1 issue in what has been a depressing six years.

That being said, Haley, with SC Attorney General Alan Wilson, wrested Boeing jobs that an overreaching and callous Obama Administration wanted to steal for his special interest union cronies. Haley fought the fed and won.

National recognition

Because of her maneuvering as governor, Haley is mentioned as an ascending star by the most-influential of Conservative radio talk show hosts.

The much-vilified talk-radio community is hated by the left, and the establishment, because it has the truest understanding of which Republican candidates can actually win big on a national level.

Fundraising

As a fundraiser, Haley has outgrown tiny South Carolina. Because of her attractiveness as a national candidate, she draws dollars from sources all over the country. Haley is so effective at gaining contributions, it has been one of the media's criticisms against her.

GOP upward and onward

Also in Haley's favor, the GOP, on a federal level, seems to be getting it. It has wasted no time since the monumental Nov. 4, election wins, telling an unpopular President Barack Obama what the people want Congress to tell him.

Expect Republicans to offer solution after solution to Obama. And regardless of what Obama does, Republicans will look like the refreshing answer to Obama's years and years of malaise that has infected the country. It's a simple strategy, hard to mishandle, and not complex enough for the media to pervert the message.

The GOP is set to be in great shape in 2016, and Haley, as an experienced and popular executive in a Conservative state, is in prime position to ride the crest of that wave.

Before the end of the next four years, expect a Gov. Henry McMaster in South Carolina. Chances are not high that Haley will finish her second term as governor.

Would Gamecocks defensive resurgence save staff's jobs?

Under no circumstances should
defensive coaches be retained.

It may be hard to admit as a Gamecock fan, but did it cross your mind - as that game ticked down - that a win versus Tennessee may save the defensive coaching staff's jobs?

But what if the defense did not collapse and SC held on and beat the Vols.

All fans, sometimes have to be against in a convoluted way to be for ultimate improvement. 

That said: the SC defensive coaching staff removed all doubt. 

And not to be harsh, because all of South Catalina's assistant defensive coaches will find employment, after they are let go at the end of 2014.

But would we be patting the defensive coaches on the back with a Tennessee win, telling them to squeeze by for a couple more wins, and all would be well?

Truth is: to keep the SC defensive staff would just prolong what has been a disaster.

Even if the Gamecocks would have some how sneaked by and defeated Tennessee, you have to believe the defensive play was so bad, it would not have been enough to save the defensive coaching staff.

South Carolina fans are now put in a position to pull for a win, but not any semblance of resurgent defense.

If I'm Head Coach Steve Spurrier the die has been cast. The pink slip is in stone. There would be nothing that could change my mind about the defensive coaching staff's dismissal.

The defense has been so inept, there is not an excuse, or a comeback large enough to save its jobs.

After three hideous, stomach-punch collapses, along with soft play on D for years, there is no question a change has to be made.

Let's hope the Gamecocks can win the last three. But because of the defense, there is not much hope of that. Should the improbable happen, let's consider it payback for the games the defense has blown and call it even, no hard feelings.

But under no circumstances should any defensive coach be retained. Regardless of a miracle, or not.

State newspaper totally lost trying to explain Haley's win

S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley obliterated Democrat Vincent Sheheen because she rejected the polcies of

President Barack Obama. Sheheen lost because could not mention Obama – for or against. If Sheheen would have attacked the miserably failed Obama Administration, the bulk of Democrat voters, African Americans, would have turned on him. If Sheheen would have embraced the very unpopular president, he would have alienated a majority of pro-progress voters. Sheheen's campaign was one of attack only, without much substance. He had no choice, or much of a chance.

But Haley had lots to brag about. Haley was able to protect the state from Obama's labor deptarment trying to block Boeing jobs in South Carolina. She also rejected a plan to expand Medicaid by $11 billion that the state would eventually have to pay for. And Haley defeated the federal government, pushing voter-integrity laws. And the fight to uphold the voters' will regarding the redefining of marriage by the homosexual lobby helped her, too.

The State newspaper was a big supporter of Sheheen's, often transferring his campaign message to its front page. But here's how The State newspaper is coping with the loss of the Democrat .

 The State said Haley won by “Cranking up the money machine” saying: “years of handshakes and speeches paid off in 2014.”

 The State said Haley stole an issue from Democrats when she “unveiled an education initiative that included more reading coaches, new technology and more state money for poorer schools.”

The State accuses Haley of “Attacking early and often” and running “ads slamming Sheheen began airing before St. Patrick’s Day.”

 The State says we have a good economy and said Haley benefited from “The economy’s good timing.” with ads touting “the state’s improving economy.”

And this next one may be The State at its most delusional. The newspaper said Haley won because of “Not getting S.C. Chamber of Commerce endorsement.” That's laughable. The endorsement may not have helped, but it certainly did not lead to Sheheen's losing.

More South Carolina losers in Nov. 4 election

Can't buy me love!

Petition candidate for governor Tom Ervin got .92 percent (less than one percent) of the vote in last Tuesday's election.

While many in the public have an idea that you can buy elected office, Ervin's run for Governor would dispel that myth.

Ervin, a rich trial lawyer, spent more than $4 million. The self-called “Independent Republican” bashed Republican Gov. Nikki Haley incessantly. Ervin finally quit a week before the election and revealed his true colors, as many suspected all along. Ervin endorsed fellow Democrat Vincent Sheheen.

Democrat loses ground

In 2010, Haley defeated Sheheen 51 to 47 percent. In 2014 she took 56 percent of the electorate and Sheheen 41 percent. That is a rout, a shellacking and a landslide. 

What happened since 2010? The  Democrat Party ruled on a federal level and obviously  damaged the brand substantially. 

The whipping has Democrat Party mouthpiece, The State newspaper, moralized, surmising that it could take a decade to recover from this beating. Truth is: it may just take getting in touch with REAL South Carolinians, instead of pandering to more-and-more absurd special interests. 

Jenny Sanford's charcoal touch

Another loser last Tuesday was Jenny Sanford, and the woman she shot an ambiguous bash “Mark” commercial for. Sanford is the wife of former Liberal-Tarian Gov. Mark Sanford. And the Sanfords have been feuding publicly for a couple of years. Both carry themselves as elitists, but are a bit trashy and tacky of late. 

Democrat S.C. Secretary of State candidate Ginny Deerin became a cause-celeb of the media, and she was considered a real upset chance. Reality: Derrin got 40 percent of the vote after the Democrat embraced by Jenny Sanford.

Sanford seems to have the charcoal touch, everything she touches crashes and burns.

Lexington County

Lexington County shot down a county-council backed penny sales tax increase that would have cost voters more than $300 million over eight years. The vote against was 70-to-30. 
Lexington County Council, which claims to be Republican spent more than $450,000 to push the tax. You have to wonder if some of the council members may now have targets on their backs for de-election, the next time around. It was a big loss for tax-and-spenders claiming to be Republicans, but acting like Democrats. 
A $225 million facilities upgrade bond referendum passed in Lexington School District 2. That district covers Cayce, West Columbia and Springdale. Seems voters trust Lexington 2 more than they trust county Council. 
In Lexington County, the most Conservative-voting, Haley got 64 percent of the vote to Sheheen's 32 percent. Lexington County had 65 percent of its voters, vote a straight GOP ticket.

Beatdown of white Fersuson protester spells Democrat disaster?

African-American protesters in Ferguson Mo. turned on one of their own Thursday night.

Chris Schaefer was chased from  Greater St. Mark Missionary Church near St. Louis and beaten so severely he had to be transported to the hospital for treatment.

What did Schaefer do wrong? He was white!

Schaefer was at a meeting helping plan protest attacks in response to an innocent finding related to Police Officer Darren Wilson.

Wilson defended himself against Michael Brown in the August shooting case in Ferguson. Reaction to that incident has already cause extensive damage from rioters. And members of the Obama Administration have inserted themselves into the war, and emboldened violent protesters, pitting blacks against whites.

Thanks to Obama's AG, Eric Holder, Ferguson protesters in the African-American community have all been assured that Wilson was guilty, and Brown did not attack and assault Wilson. But the evidence seems to indicate Brown, who had a criminal record, was the aggressor, and Wilson was just defending himself.

If Democrat politics are reduced to blatant hatred of whites, based solely on skin color, could it totally doom the party to one of race only?

If leftwing black political activists will beat a man because he is white, even when he is trying to help them, it does not bode well for the unity of the various political special interest groups that make up the Democrat Party.

To beat your would-be own based on race, could rip the party apart. 

An obligation to fight gay propaganda for protection of our children

The pro-homosexual movement is
about much more than just marriage. 

The State newspaper's headlines – along with much of media - are filled with aggressive, pro-

homosexual confrontations.

On Saturday, The State proclaims: “Non-profit says SC gay marriage ban hurts kids” and another headline reads: “Haley, Wilson file motion to stop gay couple from marrying in Charleston.”

Though no one is reporting it, we must strongly back our leaders' effort to limit the homosexual community's move on our culture.

Opposition to the promotion of homosexuality has more to do with the protection of children than it has to do with discrimination against a Democrat constituent gaggle, like the gay movement is.

But if you look at the comment sections of any news story about the gay movement, proponents of the that lifestyle are legion, attacking anyone who may advise caution.

And why do we practice caution? Gay proponents demand that we cannot tell them “Who to love.” We have no right to tell them “Who to Marry.”

The reality of the situation is that they can love anyone they want, already. And they can marry without restriction. As far as civil rights, gays are, and should be, entitled to all civil rights that any other American is entitled. No one is telling gays who to love or marry. Their civil rights are as solid as any. But the government should not be forced to sanction their unions, especially when the people (voters) are solidly against redefining marriage. 

The current gay movement is really an aggressive action that redefines marriage based on sexual preference. Changing the structure of the institution of marriage should not be granted to a political special interest group that identifies itself based on its sexual habits.

And there are other reasons to resist the onslaught of the well-funded Gay Lobby.

Resisting the expansion of the gay culture is protecting our children.

“Research confirms that homosexuals molest children at a rate vastly higher than

heterosexuals, and the mainstream homosexual culture commonly promotes sex with children,” writes author Steve Baldwin, a former California State Assemblyman and author.

Baldwin has complied a mountain of data and research that exposes a move in the homosexual community to promote more (legalized) sex between adults and children.

In addition to Baldwin's study, radio host Dr. Laura Schlessinger presented a report on her show that revealed more than 70 percent of gay men said they were molested by an adult before age 10.

Baldwin's study also contains an expose of a Los Angeles gay-based children's “help” agency that took in street children, and eventually had sex with them. The director of this group found nothing wrong with adults and the vulnerable children being involved in sexual relationships.

There is much more documented data in Baldwin's report that the media ignores.

The bottom line is that the gay culture is not good for children, and it does not have the interest of helping children develop healthily.

And with a country that is in moral chaos, we can least afford for the violation of our children right now. Allowing our children to be used by dishonest people is something we should never accept.

It is the obligation of all of us to stand up against this onslaught, no matter how offensive the opposition is. The future of our culture depends on it. 

Could demographics foil Democrats' future

Even some on the right are saying the demographics of the future do not favor the GOP.

Mostly because older Americans, those who are wiser, with more experience in reality, vote for Republicans.

If you are using age as a determiner, you'd have to assume the older voters will die off, and the younger, less responsible, who now vote Democrat, will stay uninformed.

But many current Democrat voters will grow older, just like the 20-somethings of the 1980s are 50-something Republican voters now, and that much smarter.

Not only is the maturing of voters an advantage for Republicans, experience will be a benefit, if the Republican House, Senate and others in state and municipalities follow the freedom-based platform of the GOP.

It's fine to camp out, get drunk, and smoke pot with Occupy deadbeats when you're young, but anyone past age 30 has to see those modern-day beatniks for the ne’er do wells they are. Who wants to live like that?

And another thing: Obama's criminal-level pandering to Hispanics could cause a schism with monolithic Democrat voters in the Black community.

Should the Democrat Party bleed an substantial amount of Black voters, while the GOP appeals to the most-responsible segment of Hispanic voters, there is the opportunity to turn Obama's illegal immigration scheme on him.

That's not an endorsement of amnesty, just a path that may garner more votes in a part of the population that Democrats think they own. See Texas Hispanic voting patterns for an example.

When a party, as the Democrats have, build a coalition of self-centered special interests, just one perceived double-cross of those voters can send their house toppling.

On the other hand, Republican voters, by nature, are secure, solid, mature and nation-minded. The party is a lot less susceptible to fissures based on the rationing of largess.

Republican voters are far more likely to be givers who want government to leave them alone, not takers who look to a less-and-less competent government for empowerment.

Because of that, the GOP could be in good shape as the future unfolds.    

The State newspaper, FITS News also BIG Election Day losers

For months The State newspaper had been feeding Democrat Vincent Sheheen's campaign issues

with which to attack Gov. Nikki Haley.

Th anti-Republican gossip website FITS News also took many of the same issues, and tried to destroy Haley.

Fortunately, The State and FITS came out losers in the end. And hopefully it has damaged the credibility of each in their attempts to influence future political matters.

The State's liberal, but denying it, columnist Cindi Ross Scoppe hammered Haley and slobbered over Sheheen.

In July, it was almost laughable how The State made an urgent crisis, front-page issue of rain water running off into the ocean at Myrtle Beach. And dutifully, in synched concert, Sheheen immediately promised $10 million for drains to Horry County, that he desperately needed to win.

And of course The State politicized the horrible act of bad people hurting children that the SC Department of Social Services was assigned. The State tried to put Haley's face in place of the child abusers, in hopes voters would reject her.

Then there was the droning on and on about “Ethics Reform.” Ethics reform pleas are nothing but another tool used to attack Republicans and a system that has rendered Democrats unfit for statewide elected office.

Sure some oversight processes need to be changed, but the rules that are in place now have snagged some big Republican fish, including former House Speaker Bobby Harrell and former Lt. Gov. Ken Ard.

Give “ethics” crusaders more power, and you'll just see more Republicans taken out. “Ethics” talk was more a campaign weapon for Democrats than a legitimate need.

Scoppe was one of the constant whiners about ethics. She also attacked Haley as lawless.

But Scoppe also derided South Carolinians for not wanting to pay more tax and for seeking education reform that would make public schools more accountable, among her other blatantly leftwing causes.

The State was also quick to attack Haley on jobs numbers, campaign funding and the newspaper turned just about any positive into a negative.

While The State was at least partially cunning in its exaltation of Sheheen and assault on Haley, FITS News was clumsily overt and obvious.

FITS News is an alleged “News” website that is thick on gossip and lacking in professionalism, and polish. FITS pummeled Haley, and almost all Republicans, saying the same things The State said, but with much less tact or cover.

What is most pertinent about the media's vilification of the GOP is that it did not work. In fact, the Republicans won with bigger margins and more support than ever.

Let's hope 2014 is a point in modern politics at which establishment media sources have become irrelevant, except for a mirror of leftwing ideology.

While elected Republicans can rejoice at a chance to address some of the mess made by Democrats on a federal level, we can also celebrate the lessening impact of a once influential Industrial Media Complex that is now laid low.

Homosexual voters are overwhelmingly Democrat

The homosexual community exposes itself as a partisan political special interest group.

An expose on CNSNews.com revealed that four percent of voters in Tuesday’s election identified themselves as "gay, lesbian or bisexual."

That revelation comes from a CNN exit poll. CNN questioned voters immediately after they had exited the voting booth. Included among the questions was: "Are you gay, lesbian or bisexual?"
About 76 percent said they had voted Democrat.

Of the other straight voters, 53 percent voted Republican, while 45 percent voted Democrat. Another two percent voted “other.”
The more balanced breakdown of straight voters is an indication that heterosexuals are more open-minded and less partisan than homosexual voters. 

With such a lopsided favoring of Democrats by homosexuals, it remains to be seen if the well-financed gay lobby will be blocked from much of the pandering and special considerations it has received. With so much one-sided power of Democrats in the last six years, gays have been exalted above other Americans.

Hopefully, after the election, the focus will be for more justice for ALL Americans, with less emphasis placed on leftwing special interests. 

The GOP will be judged on REJECTING Obama, not gridlock!

In South Carolina, Gov. Nikki Haley was re-elected because she fought leftwing Democrat President

Barack Obama.

Obama tried to impose more socialized medicine, take our jobs for unions and block SC's voter integrity laws. Haley fought Obama, with SC AG Alan Wilson, on every front, and won.

Haley's opponent, Vincent Sheheen, along with his media supporters, dodged Obama as if Obama had Ebola.

But all the while, Obama was the 10,000-pound elephant in the room, stomping the S.C. Donkey.

So now, as we digest the the historical 2014 losses for Democrats, media pundits are telling us GRIDLOCK is what voters oppose.

The media is saying the GOP now has the obligation to compromise with Obama to “get something done.” That would be laughable if it was not so ignorance-based.

What people want is a Congress that will oppose Obama like Haley has.

We want an assault on Obamacare. We want the Keystone Pipeline approved, so the terrorists who blackmail us with crude will realize we're serious about affordable energy independence.

We want an economy that is on fire with optimism, opportunity and jobs.

By cutting taxes, and encouraging earners and producers to invest, the depression that has persisted since late 2008 will turn to hope and enthusiasm.

Voters do want gridlock. They want to gridlock more socialized medicine schemes. They want to block government regulation that sends the cost of fossil fuels skyrocketing. And they want to stamp out tax increases and the punishment of entrepreneurs.

We want to GRIDLOCK failure and isolate it to the Democrat Party.

Liberal media struggles to cope with rejection

Democrats are trying to throw cold water on a sizzling hot and exciting Election Day 2014, that saw a total rejection of Democrats and failed liberal policies.

The media is lamenting that not enough voters participated as a source for sorrow.

In a similarly absurd proclamation, Wednesday, President Barack Obama, in a news conference said: He is listening to the people WHO DID NOT VOTE. 

 WHAT? Maybe he needs to consider the apathetic have lost all hope in him and his failed promises. 

Here's what The State newspaper said:

“Voter turnout for Tuesday’s midterm election was the lowest in at least 40 years for an S.C. general election,”

Also from The State: “It’s an obvious indicator of apathy regarding this election,” said Winthrop University political scientist Scott Huffmon.

None of the top candidates made the election super exciting, Huffmon said. Democrats didn’t have President Barack Obama at the top of the ticket and Republicans didn’t have Obama to vote against, he said.

Republicans swept statewide races against their Democratic opponents by margins ranging from 14.5 percentage points in the governor’s race to 24 percentage points in Tim Scott’s historic U.S. Senate race.

What Huffmon is really saying is that Democrats have lost hope. After having a messiah type president given two terms based on Utopian promises, the country is as depressed as it has been since 1980 - the last year of the last worst president.

Low turnout complaining is just a smokescreen for liberals – the media – to attack GOP voters.

Truth is Conservative voters are as enthusiastic as ever with the election result.

Maybe there is light at the end of this dark and depressing tunnel we entered in November 2008.

Maybe with true, pro-American leaders in the US Senate and House, we can shake off the chains of  oppressive, failed government.

Maybe we can restore more enterprise, freedom and life into this listless nation.

We may not have had high voter turnout, but those motivated enough to come out got it right for the people of this country. That is what matters.

Let the media wrap itself in a wet blanket with Obama and the Democrats. As for me and my house, I will celebrate and pray we can spring from these great election results, and help heal this ailing nation.

For people who want prosperity for their family, and fellow American, there is a boldness and excitement, regardless of how it came to us. The result is important, while low turnout is irrelevant.

Religion of Liberalism rejected by voters

The GOP must be bold and courageous to heal
 this damaged nation, and clean up the mess
made by the Democrat Party and the Liberalites.  

Make no mistake about it. A majority of American voters drove a stake through the heart of

Liberalism on Election Day 2014.

The Republican Party picked up at least seven U.S. Senate seats and could end up with as many as nine. The US. House, already controlled by the GOP, added at least 13 seats. Republicans will have at least 246 House seats, its largest majority since World War II.

The balance of power has shifted. Instead of holding an advantage it used to bully, the Democrat Party was smacked down. And the Democrats can thank no one but liberals for their total rejection by voters. It is a fate that is well-deserved.

Liberalism – as we found out in six years of President Barack Obama - is a religion of hate.

It is a system of confusion and disorder. Upside must be turned down.

The Church of Liberalism thrives when: recipient hates worker; homosexual hates family; woman hates man; Liberalite hates Christian; black hates white; young hates old; chaos hates order; union hates management; dark hates light; poor hates successful and Democrat hates Republican.

Liberalism has its own mythology with stories used to demonize its political enemies, based on race, gender and class warfare.

Fables of Liberalites - like Ferguson or global warming- are propaganda pushed by Hollywood, news media, pop culture TV and literature.

The doctrine of Liberalism is based in lies. And when the lies are exposed through action, it leaves the Democrat Party naked to the people. That's what happened on Nov. 4, 2014.

Irrational, unprovoked and wanton hate – as practiced by Liberals - is a sin. The wage of sin is death. And the Democrat party faced the consequence for its sin on Tuesday. Let's hope it is even worse for them in 2016.

Hate - or Liberalism - should be stamped out. Liberalism has resulted in unemployed, suffering and needy Americans. Liberal hate has closed food bank doors in Columbia. It has caused the price of gasoline to rise more than a dollar a gallon for at least the last six years. It means taking your child to the doctor costs you insurance, and full payment, before you leave the office.

Liberalism cares not that the price of food is so high, parents have to cut back on what they can feed their children. All that matters to Liberalites is forcing its policies to punish those who they envy and loathe.

Now that their deeds have caught up with them, it is the obligation of the persecuted to make sure voters know there is resistance to the hideous religion of Liberalism. We must stand up to our enemy with courage and resolve. Because if we do not offer light, the people who trusted Republican leaders will feel lost and abandoned by their country. We have had too much that. We cannot afford any more poor and failed leadership. The last six years has been bad enough. We desperately need some relief. We need some true hope.

Voters reject penny tax in Lexington County

In a loud NO to new taxes, Lexington County voters rejected a move by Lexington County Council

for a penny sales tax.

The NO vote for the tax was 70 percent to 30 percent for it. Many big spenders got behind the tax, but the people drowned out the well-financed pro-tax campaign.

Bill Banning, a former Lexington County Councilman lost his council seat to anti-tax candidate Ned Tolar, who was elected to council with no opposition, Tuesday.

The NO vote was 36,441 to 15,482 with 75 percent of the county's precincts reporting.  

The loss comes after the big-hitters of local media, including The State newspaper, promoted the additional tax, that would have cost taxpayers about $400 million over eight years. 

Republicans Tim Scott and Lindsey Graham re-elected

South Carolina voters elected Republican Tim Scott to the U.S. Senate, making him the first black candidate to win a statewide race since just after the Civil War.

Republican U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham was also re-elected to a third term.

Scott and Graham were declared winners after the polls closed based on exit poll data.

Haley beats Sheheen in governor's race

The Associated Press has already  declared that S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley has been re-elected.

The AP did not give a percentage, but said the margin was higher than the 4.5 percentage margin in 2010.
The AP also complained that a percentage of Haley's campaign fund of $8 million came from "out-of-state" donors.

Tom Brokaw is the epitome of conventional ignorance

It's humorous to see the ways Democrats rationalize their rejection

Former network news anchor Tom Brokaw offers a political minute commentary on WVOC,

Columbia's Conservative news and talk radio outlet. WVOC carries Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.

Brokaw, in the station's concession to liberalism, whines that “all indications are that Americans are ticked off and ready to blame president Obama,” when they voted today.

Brokaw laments that voters are voting more against Obama, than for something. But the truth is, Americans are voting for healing and economic recovery. We know that is not going to happen with Obama. 

Brokaw seems irritated that voters are rejecting Obama. He does not mention that Obama has earned repudiation from the people more than any candidate in recent memory.

Brokaw also bemoans the fact that wound-licking Democrats will immediately begin trying to win the 2016 White House, so NOTHING will get done.

If no dangerous Democrat policy, like Obamacare, or a tax to pay for global warming, is passed Americans will stand and cheer when Congress does nothing.

What is laughable about Brokaw's complaining; he immediately attacked the Tea Party as the bigger loser than Obama.

I guess liberals – after they accept their failure – have to find a villain, other than the demons they have been riding for the last six years.

The Tea Party will be fine in its mission to pull Republicans to the right. Just because you don't win a primary, does not mean the Tea Party has no influence.

And that is exactly what makes Brokaw, and other leftwing media tools mad.

Republicans are being elected to oppose Obama. As long as they do that, and counter him with sound policy, Republicans will grow in power and lots will get done. But I doubt Brokaw - or any other liberal - will like any of it.
