Can the GOP take advantage of Obama's long-term disapproval numbers?

Have Americans finally
figured out who Obama is
when it's too late to do
anything about it?
More people have disapproved of the job President Barack Obama is doing than approve for a year.
Gallup says Obama's last positive result came Sept. 23-25, 2013, when 47 percent approved and 46 percent disapproved.
The pollsters said: “a series of fall crises hit – the government shutdown, the disastrous rollout of healthcare.gov and Obama’s admission that he failed to keep his “if you like it, you can keep it” promise. Obama hasn't had a single day above water since then.”
Other polls also have shown broad weakness for the president, particularly as he has fumbled and bumbled in the area of foreign policy, with brutal murderers and terrorists being a threat all around the world.

Not a coincidence, but more and more polls are showing gains for the GOP in the US Senate with the Nov. 4 elections.
But the Republicans, should they get control of the Senate, better work to undo as much of Obama's failed policy as possible. Otherwise, the faith the people put in them will not last.

Yet another Democrat busted voting multiple times

Connecticut state Rep. Christina
“Tita” Ayala (D-Bridgeport)
While Democrats, and the Obama Administration use public funds to fight voter integrity laws, like South Carolina's.

Ever scratch your head over how Obama got elected even once, much less twice.
Remember Melowise Richardson, the Cincinnati poll worker who used her position to vote for Obama multiple times. She is one of the few to get caught and pleaded no contest to four counts of illegal voting in 2009, 2011 and 2012.
Now from Conservative Post: “Connecticut state Rep. Christina “Tita” Ayala (D-Bridgeport) was arrested Sept. 26, on 19 voting fraud charges. “Ayala voted in local and state elections in districts where she does not have a residence”, the Chief State’s Attorney’s Office said in a press release.
According to the police, Ayala allegedly fabricated evidence to investigators with the state Election Enforcement Commission, providing an inaccurate address to justify her voting in a district where she doesn't actually live.
After the discovery, the Elections Enforcement Commission referred the case to the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney and recommended criminal charges in 2013, reported the New Haven Register.”
Many times Democrats claim there is no proof of voter fraud when they are opposing voter integrity laws. There are likely lots more like these, who do not get caught.

Obama assault on less expensive energy and SCE&G utility rates skyrocket

Since 2009, South Carolina Electric and Gas's rates have increased 23.3% for residential electricity.
President Barack Obama took office in January of 2009.
On Sept. 24, the South Carolina Public Utility Commission approved the latest request for a rate increase request from SCE&G.
The average 2.82% rate increase will go into effect on bills issued on Oct. 30.
While media and anti-corporate attackers will blame SCE&G for gouging customers, look no further than the Obama Administration for the reason.
Obama has made it so difficult, costly, and almost illegal to use coal as a fuel source, power companies, including SCE&G are abandoning cheap, clean and abundant coal as an energy source.
Dumping coal pleases the radical environmentalists, who really oppose capitalism more than they care about the environment.
Damaging the family, income through astronomical energy costs is a classic example of how liberalism, and its irrational polices, hurt Americans.
The price of gasoline has been an exorbitant tax (in affect) on jobless Americans, too. Why is there no Keystone Pipeline to send a message to speculators that we are serious about energy independence. We all the oil we need, but Obama refuses to let us go after it because of the myths he, and his party perpetuate about our energy sources.
And the media does not help by refusing to place blame on the true culprit.
Not only that, the Obama Administration has spent at least $90 billion on Green Energy and solar panels. The technology is just not near where it needs to be to be considered a legitimate alternative.
Remember Solyndra went bankrupt shortly after Obama paid them off with government funds.
But it sounds good to the media, and the left, so Obama has squanders taxpayers' money on it, while Americans suffer with no jobs and rising power bills.

Gamecock coaches' post-game could signal future of USC program

The defense held on after miscues by
Georgia. Good fortune could not save
the D vs Missouri.
Watch USC Defensive Coordinator Lorenzo Ward's post-game press conference, after his defense lost a 13-point lead with about six minutes left in the game, to lose to Mizzou 21-20.
Ward seems distraught, almost despondent. It looks almost as if he is to the point of tears.
Was he lamenting the loss of the game, or does he know something else? Is the gig up in Columbia?
Likewise, Head Coach Steve Spurrier was calm, and resolute after the devastating collapse of the D and the loss. His offense was not great, but it won the game, until the D gave it away.
With the collapse of the D, it was as if Spurrier had received his answer. There is no more gnashing of teeth or angry declarations of “embarrassment.”
Spurrier likely knows what must be done now. The Gamecocks have gone from one of the most-high profile defenses in the country, to a conglomeration of undersized, not-so-fast and leaderless role players.
If you consider that there is no portion of the defense that is performing at an extraordinary (or SEC) level, you have to wonder if any of the defensive coaches will be retained.
The D-line, the LBs and secondary failed at times. Chances are the whole staff will be looking for jobs.
That said: all released coaches will land on their feet. Ward, Deke Adams (DL) Kirk Botkin (LB) and Grady Brown (secondary) have lots of experience. And there are lots of programs that would benefit from hiring them.
Though no one said as much, an era ended at SC last night for some coaches. If you are fan, wish them well, turn your eyes to the future, and think of the possibilities. This too will pass.

Gamecock defensive coaches let ship run aground

How much damage - how many more losses - will the neglect cause?
Gamecocks escaped versus Georgia with
a strong offensive performance.

Last year, South Carolina had Jadeveon Clowney, Kelcy Quarels and Victor Hampton on defense.
Those three players represented height, size, strength, talent and leadership. All three left before their college eligibility was used up.
The big question to the defensive coaching staff is: WHY are there not legitimate replacements recruited to fill the void?
The Gamecocks have had one of highest-profile defenses in the country. Going back to players like: Devin Taylor; Stephon; Gilmore; Melvin Ingram; Eric Norwood;Chris Culliver; Antonio Allen; Clifton Geathers; and so on. How can you not recruit defensive talent to South Carolina with names like those to trade on?
Who are the next generation of Gamecock stars on defense? Are there any? And why was the defensive coaching staff not out on the recruiting trail filling holes it knew it would have?
The Gamecocks' D - in 2014 - has little or none of the height, speed, skill, talent and leadership that it has had in the past. The players play with a lot of heart, but they need some help that the defensive coaching staff has been negligent in offering.
When Ellis Johnson was hired by Head Coach Steve Spurrier in 2008 to run the Gamecock defense, Spurrier said he can forget about the defense – let a competent Johnson coach it - and concentrate on his job. He was right.
And Spurrier thought the D was in good hands with DC Lorenzo Ward after Johnson left. Evidently, it is not.
Not only is there a lack of recruiting to do the job, why are players not ready leaving the team to go to the NFL?
Coaches are like parents away from home in college. Who is advising, or NOT advising, players like Quarles and Hampton? Both made a mistake by forgoing their last year at SC. And their departure severely hurt the SC defense. Especially since there was not enough talent to replace them.

Someone on the defensive coaching staff has been sleeping on the job. And now question is: how long will it take to repair the damage their negligence has caused?

Coach Steve Spurrier calm post collapse game, but down

Spurrier calm after loss. At 3-2, getting
bowl eligible is the most-urgent goal now.
In his post-game press conference, Head Ball Coach Steve Spurrier sounded like a dispirited man.
He was not angry and sounded like he knew most of 2014's season goals slipped out of reach with a 21-20 home loss to Missouri. Spurrier was gracious, in his comments after the game, and gave the Tigers credit.
He called it a “team loss” not referring to the total breakdown of the D. But he was down.
Now getting bowl eligible is the most-urgent goal.
Maybe, before the defensive collapse in the fourth quarter, Spurrier knew he had big problems on his defensive coaching staff. He alluded to the problems on D after the Texas A&M loss and the Vandy win.
But Spurrier is a loyal man. He certainly was pulling for his defensive coaches. Like all Gamecock fans he was hoping. Sadly they let him, and the fans, down.
It's obvious some BIG changes will have to be made on the defensive staff.
South Carolina is a team that has come out on the winning end most times. But this time the miracle was a win for Missouri.
The fortune finally ran out. It's time to replenish the magic wand, with some new personnel. And Spurrier calmly seems to know that.

Gamecock DC Lorenzo Ward fails UGLY!!!!...Will he keep his job?

Not sure if anything can
save Lorenzo Ward's job as
USC defensive coordinator.
South Carolina's defense CHOKED in a gargantuan way, squandering a 13-point lead midway through the fouth quarter. The Gamecocks lost about all hope for many of its goals, being beaten by Missouri 21-20. The loss was the result a total breakdown on defense, aided by horrible kick coverage.
A defense that had played over its head all night, was out-coached in the last eight minutes and snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
Lay it ALL on the shoulders of Defensive Coordinator Lorenzo Ward, and the assistants he has hired. Ward has slipped by for three years on players brought in by former de-facto USC DC Ellis Johnson.
The job is too big for Ward. He must now begin updating his resume. South Carolina lived by hope too much already this year. It finally caught up with Ward.
The Gamecocks opened double-digit leads on Georgia and almost blew it. The Gamecocks could not put East Carolina away, because of a shoddy D. And even Vandy made scoring look easy at times versus the Gamecocks.
Head Coach Steve Spurrier has worked wonders at USC. But two home losses, thanks to a very poor D, shows Spurrier's DC is not on the level Spurrier has brought the Gamecocks program.

It's time to make a change, at least as soon as possible, and move forward.

Anyone else think Georgia will lose again in 2014?

Not sure who will defeat Georgia in 2014, but the Bulldogs are playing like the team will lose another
Brandon Wilds moves on the Bulldog D.
Georgia surrendered 38 points to SC.
game, or maybe two.
Convention holds that Georgia has an easy schedule the rest of the way. Or at least that is what Gary Danielson of CBS indicated when he tried to blunt the blow of Georgia's loss to SC.
South Carolina would benefit from a Georgia loss Should the Gamecocks stumble again, a Gamecock loss would not sting as much, in the SEC-E race, if Georgia drops another game.
Georgia is just not as good as billed. Maybe the big win over Clemson propelled Georgia upward in the pundits' minds. But maybe that win was over-valued.
Tennessee fumbled away its shot at beating Georgia, in Athens Saturday. And if The Vols' starting QB, Justin Worley, did not have to sit out a few series, with an elbow injury, his team may have pulled it off.
And if Todd Gurley is not able to play, Georgia will be average, at best.
Even if Gurley stays healthy, he has to carry such a heavy load, can he continue to be effective down the stretch, as he tires? Gurley IS the Bulldog offense. Not sure if there is a plan B.
Georgia Coach Mark Richt may be showing that he's running out of gas. There seems to be a strong resistance from a coach, and the college football media, to admit a coach's run is over. See Virginia Teach and Frank Beamer.
Richt has had some great years at Georgia. He is a very good coach, or has been. If he ends up leaving Georgia, he could go with pride, and a sense of accomplishment.
Too many times the suggestion that a program should end a relationship with a coach, is met with: Who can you get to replace him?
South Carolina replaced Lou Holtz with Stever Spurrier. Duke replaced Ted Roof with David Cutcliffe. Texas A&M replaced R.C. Slocum with Kevin Sumlin, and so on...
Georgia is a big time program in the SEC. fans have every right to be expecting more if Richt stumbles this year.

Every reason for a BIG Gamecock win vs Mizzou, but will it be?

How could you not be jacked up for the game today?
(City Data photo)
It's a BIG weekend in Columbia, SC.
The ESPN Gameday crew is set up, Kenny Chesney in on the Horseshoe and South Carolina is coming back home after a 14-point, "disappointing" SEC road win.
If you love college football and South Carolina, it's magical this Saturday.
Old – and some not so old- Gamecock Gloriers are in town, including winningest QB Conner Shaw. He engineered one of the most-gritty and inspirational victories in USC football history, versus Missouri last year.
What reason is there not to be Sky-High?
Can the Gamecocks feed off of the excitement, and overwhelm a Tiger team set on revenge and needing to salve its own wounds from a last-minute home loss to Indiana last week?
If you are a gambler, you better be in total sync with the Gamecocks' psyche before betting on them. Otherwise you could lose a lot. South Carolina, under Head Ball Coach Steve Spurrier is always tough to figure out, betting-line wise.
The Gamecocks are a 5.5 point favorite. The Tigers are 3-1, and covered all lines easily before losing as a 14.5-point favorite to the Hoosiers.
All intangibles point to a big win for Carolina. But the Gamecocks have been favorites with many advantages before, only to slip by. So who knows?
Prognosticators seem to think Tiger QB Maty Mauck will pick apart the Gamecock D, but the defense is getting better, and the home crowd will be a factor.
With the atmosphere that the Gamecocks have around them, it would be hard not to springboard off of it, and the Gamecocks beat Missouri easily. But USC has been in this situation before, and not covered.
The over/under is 61.5. Most predictors are saying take the over. But Missouri may not score as much as the “experts" predict. Under and SC could be more logical. It will be fun to see how it turns out.

Gamecock beat reporter whines that SC could not beat Missouri at Missouri

Kendall said he'd
certainly pick
Mizzou if SC
had them on the road.
Too bad for him, the game is in Columbia, SC.

It's no secret Josh Kendall, of The State nnewspaper has a tendency to disrespect the Gamecocks.
Kendall currently ranks the Gamecocks No. 15, in his AP ballot, while the rest of the country's sports reporters have the Gamecocks ranked at No. 13.
Kendall dropped the Gamecocks a spot after an SEC road win at Vandy, while the other voters moved USC up one.
Kendall consistently ranks the Gamecocks lower than the rest of the country ranks the team.
And many Gamecock fans complain that Kendall regularly ranks Clemson higher than the rest of the county. This week, Kendall ranked Clemson at No. 25, even though the rest of the AP voters in the country did not include the two-loss Tigers in the Top 25.
This week, on a video-cast on The State's Website, Kendall said he picked Missouri to beat South Carolina in the pre-season. Now, after the Tigers lost to Indiana last week, Kendall is suddenly backing off of his prediction in favor of Missouri.
He did say if the game were in Columbia, Mo, he'd certainly pick the Tigers to defeat the Gamecocks.
Kendall also indicated it's unlikely the South Carolina defense will hold the Tigers under 30 points. Kendall's pick-em mate from The State, David Cloninger, said SC will have to defend Mizzou QB Maty Mauck, as it would Johnny Manziel, keeping him contained.
Kendall lamented the lack of sacks SC has recorded in 2014 and said the D-line is not even getting close.
Kendall was complimentary of the play of QB Dylan Thompson, but said that after the Missouri game in 2013, he wondered if Thompson was done for, or “the magic gone.”
Kendall also ragged Steve Spurrier, mocking the head ball coach for repeatedly saying he was embarrassed by the way the D played at Vandy. Kendall said in his old age, Spurrier would still be complaining about the Vanderbilt game, as if Kendall were demanding Spurrier let it go.
Both Kendall and Cloninger predicted a mad Missourri team, with revenge on its mind. Their thinking is that the Tigers will be in town to take out its anger on the Gamecocks. But both stopped short of picking an upset.
Cloninger picked SC to win 38-34. And Kendall said anything can happen, but he expects the Gamecocks to pull it out, only because they are at home. His score is: 45-40.
Kendall did say he is not sure if the Gamecocks can win, but he is sure to bet the over.

SC Trooper crucified after unarmed shooting; media, Holder culpability?

Sean Groubert reinforces the myth in the
minds of those who view law officers
as always guilty, while  criminals
always get the benefit of the doubt
Former SC. State Trooper Sean Groubert went from law protector to criminal in less than 30 seconds
on Sept. 4.
When news surfaced that Groubert, who is white, shot an unarmed black motorist, social media commentators immediately screamed with blood lust for the crucifixion of Groubert. They shrieked with devilish delight when Groubert was fired.
Who could blame them?
Irrational police-haters had recently been whipped to a fever pitch by a national 24/7, one-sided media indictment of Police Officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson Mo.
Wilson, most likely, justifiably shot a violent bully. But justice takes a back seat when the modern-day lynch mobs want the head of a white law enforcement agent.
And President Barack Obama, as he typically does, fueled the fires of hatred to serve his political ambitions. U.S. AG Eric Holder had little regard for justice in the matter, either. He just wanted to judge Wilson, and exonerate the perp. Because fairness or right has no place in the current “civil rights” movement. It's all about polarization and political power.
Holder still has not let go, even as he could be facing legitimate criminal prosecution himself. Holder, using the Department of Justice's resources, is “investigating” the police department in Ferguson.
In the Groubert case, when the dash-cam video of the shooting of motorist Levar Edward Jones was released, the usual Facebook analysts, commenting on news sites, kicked into a frenzy at the obvious guilt of Groubert.
And there is no question Groubert panicked and made a colossal mistake. On the video, he seems to immediately understand the gravity of his error.
But Groubert's humanity no longer matters. And compassion does not apply to certain segments of our society. Regardless of how many law enforcement officers are gunned down, the Groubert shooting will solidify justification for all of those who view law enforcement as guilty first, and suspects getting the constant benefit of the doubt.
There is very little defense for Groubert. He should have waited until Jones turned around to see he was not armed.
But was Groubert on extra paranoia alert? Law enforcement officers have been killed recently in Pennsylvania, Georgia and Texas. Shot down like dogs. Were the killers of those lawmen prompted by the disrespect of officers by the media, Obama and Holder? Who knows if that has motivated an open season on the police, and officers know it.
As it is, Groubert has been fired and charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated
nature. He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
If he had to do over again, Groubert certainly would not do the same thing. Contrary to pop culture belief, egged on by a shameless media, white officers are not laying in wait for a chance to shoot black people. That's ignorant to even suggest, but it is repeated over and over.
Groubert will only lose in this incident. His life is severely damaged. Thank God Jones is OK and in line to get a healthy settlement.
The whole thing is ugly. And it is Groubert's fault. But the crucifixion of Groubert - by a conscious-less and judgmental segment of society - is as sad as the rest of the spectacle. And very few will acknowledge that.

Sheheen resorts to charging “ETHICS” violations, because he has nothing else

Haley is in good shape.
The Sheheen Campaign is getting
desperate as election day nears,
with him in arrears.
So far Democrat candidate for governor Vincent Sheheen has tried to blame Gov. Nikki Haley (R) for parents who neglect their children, and have them taken by the SC Department of Social Services.
Sheheen has also surmised he can use a two-and-half-year-old data breach at the SC Department of Revenue to take down the governor.
To this point, and despite the contant bashing from Sheheen and the media, Haley is leading Sheheen by an even larger margin than she beat him by in 2010, according to the latest Rasmussen poll.
After failing to gain ground with issues that are too far removed to hold Haley responsible for, Sheheen is now falling back on the old Democrat security blanket of “Ethics."
Tuesday Sheheen released his latest commercial. It is a line-up of Democrat voters lamenting their lack of belief in Haley because she allegedly used a plane in a way government campaign edicts said she could not.
There are a couple of other politically tinged ethics charges against Haley in the ad, too minor or too irrelevant to even remember for more than five minutes.
The question Sheheen's reaching should trigger is: Why are you not running on YOUR record?
Or, since your party has controlled the White House; US House; and the US Senate at times recently; why not brag about all your party has done for this country?
I think we all know the answer to that one.
No jobs, skyrocketing prices for gas, food, and now healthcare are the legacy of the post-2008 Democrat Party. To boot, race relations are miserable and that's just on the domestic front. Foreign policy-wise, the Obama Administration is a total disaster, but President Barack Obama is in front of a gaggle of United Nations human rights violators bashing the U.S. for Ferguson Mo.
So that may answer your question as to why Sheheen would rather manufacture some “ethics” scandal regarding Haley. He has nothing to run on.
The latest commercial will likely have about as much influence as his other wild claims and mis-placed accusations. For the sake of our state, let's hope so.

Any chance of Gators' Will Muschamp going to to Gamecocks as DC?

Could Muschamp to
South Carolina as DC have
any credibility?
As the Gamecock defense continues to under-impress Head Ball Coach Steve Spurrier, rumors are circulating that Will Muschamp, a fair bet to be let go as the Florida Gators' head coach, could be the next defensive coordinator at South Carolina.
Without a pretty stout turnaround, Muschamp will be looking for another job in the not too distant future. But could he come to South Carolina? The Columbia-based Web-blog FITS News claims it has sources that say Muschamp is a candidate to come to the Gamecocks as DC.
Of course, what FITS News lacks in originality and insight, it more than makes up for in libel-esque activity. FITS' motto should read: "Where we report gossip as Gospel."
Anyway: it's very illogical to be seriously talking Muschamp as a DC replacement at SC, at this point. Way too much would have to happen.
But FITS says: “Multiple sources close to the University of South Carolina football program tell FITS the 43-year-old Georgia native is being eyed for a job as the Gamecocks’ next defensive coordinator. In fact our sources say Spurrier is lobbying hard for Muschamp’s hiring owing to two things: 1) Muschamp’s previous success as a defensive coach and, 2) the friendship the two SEC East rivals have struck up in recent years.”
Multiple sources?” Log onto Gamecock Central's FGF fans' chat board. That is likely the “Multiple Sources” to which FITS refers.
Not that it could not happen, but I would not put much stock in any claims that FITSNews makes about Spurrier and USC.
FITS was as cookie-cutter antagonist as much of the Columbia influence-jealous media toward Spurrier. But Spurrier began posting double-digit win totals year after year, and that shut-up a lot of the FITS-types. Before that, FITS often published raw accusations against the Gamecocks sent to him, anonymously, from enemies of the USC program. FITS should be thankful for liberal libel laws.
FITS once claimed that a USC baseball player cheated on a high-school level exam, and the Gamecocks' National Championship teams would have to “vacate” wins from the College World Series.
FITS also poked fun, using a discredited radio hack, at USC fans for being excited about the signing of Jadeveon Clowney. The site never acknowledged its ignorance after Clowney materialized into the NFL's top pick.
And FITS News made a click-bait salacious claim about Gov. Nikki Haley, that its founder promised to prove. But it later was claimed a crashed hard drive erased the “proof.”
So you may be able to give FITS' “Multiple Sources” report about as much credibility as FITS deserves.

Spurrier's incredulity over defense part of his coaching genius

Spurrier looks to be dumbfounded by
the shoddy play of his D and special
teams. Does he know he is on the
brink of something special?
South Carolina was ahead of Vanderbilt by 21 points with less than two minutes to play last Saturday.
The Gamecocks had a three touchdown lead, despite surrendering two cheap TDs on kick-off returns.
Then, the Gamecocks gave up another TD, mostly because of a hail-Mary type play when the “W” had been secured.
SC won 48-34.
But as a result of the KO returns, and late score, Head Ball Coach Steve Spurrier was apoplectic after the game. He called the team "embarrassing" after a 14-point win. But he knows any win on the road in the SEC is a good win. And nothing is guaranteed in the country's best conference.
So why was Spurrier so angry at his team's play? He was coaching for the next game, and the next. He was sending a message to his assistants, especially those on defense and special teams that relaxing and waiting for the offense to bail you out, will not be tolerated.
The Gamecocks could have spotted the 'Dores four touchdowns and still won that game. But that is not the case with Aubrun or Florida.
South Carolina may be batter than the rest of its opponents, but a weak link, giving up cheap scores, will negate any advantage SC has versus top talent. There is not much margin for error if the Gamecocks are to win the SEC-East, or any other crown.
Spurrier knows his defensive coaches better work overtime to figure out what they are doing wrong. Otherwise, Spurrier has a desk drawer full of well-qualified applicants that will do the job on defense. And they'd love to work for a coach of Spurrier's stature.
The Gamecocks are on the brink, and Spurrier knows how close he is. And it's unlikely he is going to let a weak-link coaching staff on D get in the way of accomplishing something that he has spent years chasing and building at USC.
South Carolina can play poorly and win a lot of games. But if it is to get to where Spurrier has been told he cannot go, the breakdowns and half-steppers will have to be eliminated.
Spurrier's outrage is a message to his coaches to not rest. The team has a long way to go, before it is elite. But it has every ingredient to be the best. The defense will have to mature for that to happen.
Right now, the coaches on D are the impediment. And that is where Spurrier is directing his passion.
If you work for him, it's time to obsess over your job. Otherwise you may not have it for long.

There is too much at stake for Spurrier to play Mr. Nice Guy.

Don't secede, America-Haters should leave

The ultra-liberal Charleston City Paper reported last week  “there's been a lot of talk of
independence lately.”
That is understandable when it seems we have had an out-of-control federal government since late. 2008.
The Obama Administration wants to carbon tax you and outlaw any food the government disapproves of.
We've wasted billions on "Green" energy projects that don't work, but pay Democrat campaign donors with government money. Liberalism is failing our economy, world justice, and the future of our children.
Liberals in America are making a mess of this country.
In the wake of this chaos, the Charleston City Paper cited a Reuters/Ipsos poll that shows 23.9% "strongly supported or tended to support" the idea of secession, with 53.3% wanting to stay put.
The paper seemed to mock South Carolinians and presented this statement: “So we ask you, lovely South Carolinans, since you've already done it once, would you vote to leave the U.S.A. again?
This answer is this: I'd rather liberals, bashers and America-Haters go to North Korea, Russsia, Iran or China where liberals would fit in better.
This is my country. I - or a Republican president - defeated Democrat, anti-Constitution slave-owners. As a Conservative, my spirit flies against dominating leftwing socialist NAZIs and anti-Christian Jihadists.
Liberals side with America's enemies against us. I ask the liberals to leave, and make this a better country.
It's love for who and what we are that our soldiers fight for. We want this country to be free.
Powerful leftwing radicals, who would rather tear down America, are bent on enslaving us through socialist polices.
You want to take from the best of us who produce and give it to the hateful counter-culture nihilists who vote for you.
Your idea is to pollute our Republic, and subvert Democracy to empower yourselves and feed your greed. We'd be much better off if you leave.

Reasons SC gas tax is not popular with Conservatives

The price of gas has been much higher under Obama
than it was for almost all of  Bush's two terms.
We've all paid an astronomical energy tax
under Obama.
The State newspaper says a group of tax-happy S.C. lawmakers told state chamber honchos Monday
they are ready to raise the state’s gas tax.
The increased tax, on an already needlessly inflated product, would supposedly go to repair roads and bridges.
The SC Chamber says it has a poll of Republicans that is about 50-50 on raising the gas tax in the state. But there is no reason not to be suspicious of that in-house poll that helps promote the tax the chamber supports. Chambers, once thought to be a friend to free enterprise, are becoming more and more on the side of Big Government.
There are two reasons that may be why Conservatives are against a gas tax increase.
One is we do not trust legislators to use the money as they say, to fix roads. We've paid a gas tax forever. Why have you not used the money to repair highways already? If you have more drivers, gas tax revenues should have increased.
And two: the economy is AWFUL. Since Barack Obama was elected, unemployment as been high, along with gas prices and food prices, compared to most of the Bush Administration.
That's undeniable. Obama ran on a promise to "Transform America."
Remember a creepy video of the glazed-eyed children of liberals singing "Obama's gonna change it all." Well he did. And Americans have been suffering under him. So we cannot afford a gas tax. Obama, through his poor management, has imposed a gas tax for almost six years. We're not open to paying more. We have to feed and care for our children.
The Democrat-based contingent of tax-hikers in South Carolina, who have incorporated a few middling Republicans so the media can call them bipartisan, need Gov. Nikki Haley's cooperation.
Thankfully, to this point, Haley has said she would veto increasing South Carolina’s 16-cent-a gallon gas tax.
Maybe these taxers could cut spending somewhere else to fund road maintenance.

Gamecock defensive coaches should still be on the hot seat

The Gamecocks have played four games against some good teams.
Spurrier was fuming with two special
teams breakdowns versus Vandy.
A late score by the 'Dores also
triggered some anger from the coach.
The team is 3-1, with a chance to win the SEC-East.
But here's what The State newspaper's Josh Kendall says about SC: “A defense and a special teams unit that rank among the nation’s worst.”
And he's right and wrong. Statistically the Gamecocks do have some ugly numbers. But the team has played three ranked opponents, two top 10, and beaten one of them.
It's not as bad as all the attention. And the results are not those of the nation's "Worst."
Kendall is just being sensational in the negative. That is common for him when it comes to South Carolina.
But South Carolina's D could, and should be much better.
In the Texas A&M 52-28 loss, the Gamecocks D looked out of place and out to lunch.
The Gamecocks D now is in better position and the players are playing hard. There are not a lot of missed tackles or arm tackling going on. The new players are growing into their roles and playing hard.
The SC scoring defense (36 points per game is ranked 109 in nation) and total defense (480 yards per game) is ranked 114 in the nation.
The Gamecock have recorded only four sacks and rank No. 101 in the nation in that category. SC is last in sacks in the SEC. And opponents are averaging 25.5 first downs per game, which ranks No. 118 in the nation.
Spurrier is infuriated about the poor defense, despite the wins.
He knows the Gamecocks can be VERY good if the defensive coaches can take it up a notch or two. As it is, the Gamecocks have a lot of pieces in place. It will be a shame if poor coaching lets all the talent be squandered.
But if that is the case, expect some to answer with their jobs.

Associated Press, State newspaper imply South Carolina parents are liars

With Common Core is being opposed by more parents,
and rejected across the country, the media is increasing
its assault on SC parents who want legitimate
education for their children, not leftist propaganda.
The Associated Press has released a story entitled: “Common Core US History standards attacked in
SC”
The pro-Common Core, anti-local standards story is running in most statewide media, from Rock Hill to Beaufort. Most media outlets carrying the story are based in other states dissimilar to South Carolina.
In the story AP accuses: Opponents of Common Core standards of “telling South Carolina education officials that (Common Core) standards for Advanced Placement U.S. History are anti-American.”
Aside from ignoring the fact that it is a legitimate charge, the AP is attacking parents who oppose Common Core Standards.
Those parents (or opponents as AP calls them) brought their complaints to the state Education Oversight Committee on Monday.
The parents are pointing out that Common Core “American History guidelines don't mention battlefield heroes, founding fathers or civil rights leaders like Martin Luther King Jr.”
The AP sides with an anti-South Carolina Standards opponent named Sue Baumann. She is a Richland Northeast High School history teacher. Baumann is attacking the parents and saying “the (Common Core Standards that she supports are) guidelines and a broad overview. “She says any competent history teacher would include King and the other topics.”
But the question is: If the teacher is left to add King, what else can the teacher add, or subtract, from the teachers' version of “history?”

The AP got its synopsis of the assault on local standards from The State newspaper. The State is wringing its hands because droves of parents are offering input to the state's Education Oversight Committee. The left-leaning, pro-Common Core State newspaper fears standards will exclude the Obama-supported, and very unpopular Common Core propaganda.
The proponents of teaching American history, objectively, want stable guidelines included in standards.

Ignorance, decadence endanger SC's children, not lack of government workers

Shouldn't Democrat Sheen stress
rejecting vice to save children, instead of
attacking Gov. Nikki Haley?
Democrats, its media could make an appeal to voters, instead of hire more DSS workers

S.C. senators investigating SC's DSS Department have demanded DSS find an answer to child abuse and neglect in two weeks.
Politicians and media have deduced that more government workers will solve the problem of children being abandoned by their parents or abused, even killed by bad people in society.
“The magic number of new DSS workers is 202, according the the The State newspaper.
But will expanding the government as “Mamma” really help?
Democrat politicians regularly promote laws that make drugs, gambling and sexual irresponsibility easier.
In many cases where children are neglected, or brutally abused, parent selfishness, through weakness to vice, is at the root of the harm to children.
Drugs, addiction to gambling and more attention to illicit sex are prevalent.
Democrats, legislatively favor more drugs, gambling and sexual exploitation.
If we KNOW what leads to the irresponsibility of parents to children; why are we using the same old failed, leftwing methods to address child abuse?
Children are dying and Democrats get credit for caring more than Republicans.
If Democrats REALLY care about the lives of poor, and abused, children, they'd begin today preaching to their constituents the value of family.
Statistics show that the factors that lead to child abuse are much more likely in a Democrat-voting household, than a values, or Republican, voter.
If Democrats want to address endangerment, with the possibility of saving children, they’d start by adamantly opposing drugs, gambling and promiscuity.
Then they'd take the message to their voters and beg them to put children above their selfish desires.

They'd ask their voters to hold precious children as a gift from God.
Of course that may mean losing some political power. And that it why we are likely to see Democrat blaming the GOP, instead trying to save the children.

SEC-TV's Brent Musburger does a GREAT job with SC-Vandy game

Best broadcaster befitting the best football conference.
ESPN says Brent Musburger is the lead
play-by-play announcer for its new  SEC
Network, with former Florida quarterback
Jesse Palmer

Coach Steve Spurrier called the 48-34 win over Vanderbilt Saturday “one of the worst I have ever
had.” Most Gamecocks fans should have come to expect games like that from South Carolina. If you had much of a question about South Carolina winning it, you likely have not been watching the team much lately. There was never much doubt which team would win, even when SC went down 14-0.
The Gamecocks have a formidable offense now. The final was expected.
A very pleasant surprise from the Vandy-SC  game was veteran Brent Musburger's call in the SEC-TV Network broadcast booth.
Musburger was as complimentary, respectful and accurate as any broadcaster to date.
When the Gamecocks scored its first TD - a 29-yard pass from QB Dylan Thompson to Damiere Byrd - Musburger proclaimed: Order is being restored here in Nashville.
He knew, like we all knew, that is was just a matter of time before the Gamecocks took over the game. And he was right.
Knowing a team, and giving it due credit is professional.
The booth-mate of Musburger, Jesse Palmer, was far from the quality of Musburger. He seemed to be openly hoping for a break for the Commodores. On a play in which Gamecock WR Byrd, wisely reached back while he was out of bounds to kill the ball, Palmer lamented the misfortune of Vandy, not the heads-up move by Byrd.
That said: Palmer was far better than the anti-Gamecock booth-work of CBS's Gary Danileson in the SC-Ga. Game of Sept. 13.
Palmer accurately described the Thompson-led Gamecock offense as the closest thing Spurrier has had to his “Fun-n-Gun” scheme made famous at Florida.
While the win for the Gamecocks was routine, not spectacular, Musburger's experience was refreshing, and not common.

Sheheen lies in commercial, State newspaper, Sheheen attack Haley for lying!

Haley's reducing welfare and adding jobs.
But the media - and Democrat Sheheen -
are claiming it's not enough.
Media shilling for the Democrat is blatant.

Democrat Vincent Sheheen - candidate for governor - released a TV ad last week claiming Gov. Nikki Haley vetoed 4-year-old kindergarten.
Haley did not veto budget items Sheheen is claiming. She actually “signed a bill that, among other things, eventually expands full-day 4K statewide,” according to the Associated Press.
The State newspaper is not making a big play about Sheheen's misleading information in his ad.
Instead: in it's latest (Sunday) attempt to affect the governor’s race The State newspaper is accusing Haley of lying. The State reports (in Sheheen''s behalf) : “I don’t think lying is OK,” for Gov. Nikki Haley, said Democrat Sheheen.
The State is trying to accuse Haley of not producing the number of jobs she has reported. The State admits she has brought in close to 30,000 new jobs to the state in a horrible national Obama-fail economy. But The State and Sheheen are quibbling over numbers. And they are also disparaging the amount of money some people make.
In fact, if you don't make a wage approved by The State newspaper, it implies your job does not count.
The State is attacking Haley for reporting that she has brought 57,000 jobs to South Carolina.
The State says: “only a little more than half of the jobs (she) announced in 2011 and 2012 exist.” ,
The State also says “Her tally also includes 4,350 jobs — nearly 8 percent of the total — for stores planned by Wal-Mart. Low-paying retail jobs typically are not part of economic development tallies.”
Wow, does Obama's Department of Labor report those jobs to his credt? If so, does The State disqualify them?
And: do those Wal-Mart employee dollars spent on groceries, shoes and doctors for children, not count in the media's and Sheheen's eyes?
In the past: The State has touted Democrat Vincent Sheheen for his announcement – if elected - to use $10 million of state taxpayers' money to put in more rain drains in Myrtle Beach. Sheheen made the pledge of state money after The States report that bacteria was in the ocean after rains. No one has reported being sick, or complained about the overflowing rain waters that occur a couple times in the summer. But The State reported it and Sheheen picked up beach water run-off as a campaign issue- immediately after The State reported it - in voter-rich Horry County, that he lost in 2010.
It was pure coordination between Sheheen's campaign and The State, but was it reported to the election commission? Remember, Sheheen, and The State, are constant promoters of ethics in politics. They have attacked Haley for that, too. ,

The worst part of Clemson's almost-upset

Deshaun Watson looked
good vs No. 1 FSU.
Did Clemson settle its QB controversy?

The FSU fans are going to say it was only because Jameis Winston was benched that they almost lost.
Florida state beat Clemson 23-17 in overtime.
The Seminoles, with Winston back versus NC State in the next game will roll. Mostly because of the near-death experience Clemson put on them.
But Winston totally distracts from Clemson's truly inspirational effort versus No. 1.
Except for not winning, Clemson did come away with something very valuable. It looks like they found a quarterback in freshman Deshaun Watson. He performed well in the extremely intimidating surroundings of a Noles' crowd, backed into a corner.
It's no consolation to heartbroken Clemson fans on the morning after, but the game in Tallahassee was symbolic in that it was a passing of the torch from the past, and Tajh Boyd to Watson. The tigers have seen the future and it is Deshaun. If there is a controversy at QB, that will not be helpful to the team, at all. Deshaun looks like the man.
FSU will lose this year
Unfortunately, it was not to Clemson. But FSU is not a National champion. The Noles will blow a game in the regular season of 2014.

Not only is the team not playing at the level that it played last year, Jameis Wilson is an energy, and unity, sapper. Dressing out, and having to be corrected is totally selfish. And ABC (ESPN) did not help by constantly placing a camera on Winston to get his reaction. And Winston knew he was being focused upon, and played it up. That's not good for a team, especially on the college level.

What would cause a quarterback controversy at Florida State?

Could Sean Maguie "Wally
 Pip"  Jameis Winston?
Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston was suspended for Florida State's game versus Clemson.
QB Sean Maguire is Winston's replacement.
What if Florida State routs Clemson without Jameis Winston?
Does it cause a quarterback controversy.
Let's be honest. The only reason Winston has not been released is because he led the 'Noles to a National Championship last season.
The betting line in the Clemson at FSU game is down to 15.5, with FSU favored.
Sunday night - before Winston was suspended-  Florida State was as much as a 20.5-point favorite.
What may be getting overlooked is the amount of talent Clemson lost since its 51-14 loss to FSU in 2013.
Maybe it would be wise to expect Florida State to cover. Without QB Tajh Boyd and WR Sammy Watkins, Clemson may be in a rebuilding mode.
While the Seminoles may be missing a key part of its offense in Winston, Clemson is missing more.
Expect FSU to roll. And if the fans fall in love with Maguire, Winston may be put on a short string, with very little needed before he is cut loose.
An uncontrollable player can be a major distraction to a team. Coaches need to be able to ficus equally on all players. A player who proves to be undisciplined off-the-field can become a disease.
If Maguire does well, and FSU rolls, he may represent a cure for what is ailing the Florida State program.
PS: the over/under bet is 60.5. Without the scoring threats for Clemson, it may be hard to reach 60.5 points.

Liberal agenda, Jameis Winston, Tim McGraw and dictating justice

Tim McGraw is all smiles
after he got away with assault.
Maybe Ray Rice should have claimed self defense, like Tim McGraw did, and got away with hitting a woman.

Funny that an accusation that Jameis Winston sexually assaulted a female went un-investigated in 2012, according to the New York Times. But now all Winston is accused of doing is using vulgar language toward a female, and he gets benched in his most-important conference game of the year.
In June, liberal pop-country music star Tim McGraw violently slapped a woman in the head, after he purposely waded too close, and claimed the woman touched him like he did not want.
Tim McGraw hits a woman on camera
The media, liberals, McGraw fans and law enforcement defended McGraw's right to assault the woman.
Yet the leftwing media is trying to all-but close down the NFL because Ray Rice, a player, did what McGraw did.
What's the difference?
First, McGraw is a liberal in an industry that has a lot of American values (more Conservative) performers. He cannot be sacrificed. The left needs him to remain on top. Some 'nobody' woman cannot be allowed to toppled such a bearer of their dogma.
And: the NFL is an escape mostly for males. It's one of the few things that organically grew into a billion-dollar, highly popular industry. No women play in the NFL. And of course, white-male millionaires profit from it. That cannot be allowed to go unchecked by the left.
Liberals cannot stand to see people who do not adhere to their dictates, or political preaching, having fun or success.
Liberalism is a religion of hand wringing. Liberals exists, in one capacity, to find people having fun, and find a way to impose their dictates until the fun is gone.
Liberalism is a religion of total control of that, that exists.
Also: liberals are looking to gain a foothold into the NFL. The NFL has already sent a team of female consultants into their office, in an effort to help make the NFL more sensitive to leftwing feminist ideology.
Liberalism is also a religion of failure. From race relations, jobs and unions, energy, economics and even male-female relationships, the leftwing has a record of causing malfunction.
Winston, like Ray Rice, is between
the religion of liberalism and voters in
an election year.  That's bad timing.
Imposing liberal solutions on the NFL will only harm it, and cost it fans. And the fewer people enjoying something that does not serve liberalism, the better - is how the left sees it.
Secondly, 2014 is an off-year election year in which the Democrat Party is facing losses in the U.S. Senate. Control could move from D to Republican because of the deep disapproval of a Democrat president.
Democrats have to find a boogey-man to show their voters that they are protecting them. Democrats cannot point to their record of success on issues that actually matter to all Americans, so they must play up the things that polarize to motivate gender voters. It's the same reason Democrats, with their media, created and publicized racial strife in Ferguson, Mo.
What liberals and Democrats do is dangerous and it hurts us severely as women and men, and as Blacks and Whites. Liberals damage us as Americans. But Democrats and liberals don't care if they rip us apart, as long as they can retain power and feed their greed.
At some point there is going to have to be a recognition of the hatred liberals are dictating, and a mass rejection of it. Maybe Nov. 2014 could be that election where we rebuke them. We can always hope.

Child killings - Chaos of Polluted Liberal 'Village' Spinning Out of Control

Make no mistake about it, the spreading of leftwing, Democrat Party politics is like a disease of decay in this country.
A man killed his six grandchildren, and his daughter, in Florida Thursday
Liberalism is a religion unto itself, with politics-god-idols and sacraments. Liberalism is a jealous god and it has all but prevented you from speaking the name of your God in public. And the results are devastating to our nation.
In 1996, Hillary Clinton published a book called “It Takes a Village.” Since, we have constructed the village in her and the Democrat Party's image. As a result the village has become so POLLUTED that we're choking to death on the foul air Hillary and her ilk have generated.
If you fail to admit that, or refuse to admit it because you're told it's intolerant or close-minded, you are almost as much to blame as the dangerous Democrat Party.
Liberals openly, and proudly, support leniency for killers, corrupting children, bashing America, more sexual promiscuity, racial turmoil, disrespect for law officers and blaming the just for their high level of indecency.
Our country is a sickening mess of child murders, hate, rage, racism, bigotry and discrimination.
And the offensive perpetrators of these horrible acts; are Democrats. It's not both parties, It's not ALL politicians. It is the fault of the leftwing.
Liberals run this country. They get their way, then lie about the results of their evil intent. And we let them get away with it. The media goes wall-to-wall with coverage to seal the deal.
Liberals will attach themselves to right, then pervert it until there is nothing near justice in it. Liberals will twist virtue, then use it as a weapon to beat the people they hate. And it's commonly accepted as OK.
Be it hunger, education, jobs, gender, racial harmony, the environment; whatever it is: the left warps the issue, so that only hate comes from it. They don't care, because controlling the thinking of their malleable followers feeds their greed and perpetuates their lust for more power.
It is to the point that we live in a bizarre world. We have an economy where people are starving, can't find jobs, can't afford food or gas and it's just getting worse. Yet a media tells us it is the fault of a long-gone enemy president and we're in a recovery. Way too many voters believe the myths that liberals spread to avoid accountability and responsibility.
It's as if a funk has been sprayed on people, making them unable to think for themselves and figure out reality?
We live in a nation that was forged by a small minority, who sacrificed their comforts, life fortunes and health, to develop the concept of freedom. Our most costly wars were fought to free those being exploited because of race.
To let the nasty jackals of the Democrat Party smear our honor should outrage every true American.
If you are not so mad now that you are willing to take to the streets, and stand up for our country, don't worry, you won't have that right to dissent much longer.
The leftwing Democrats have gashed us severely. The success of the Obama Administration to smear this nation has certainly emboldened them.
How much longer before Democrats outlaw any thought contrary to theirs? Think it can't happen. Just look at the filthy mess going on around us today. The Democrat Party has gotten this far, what makes you think they cannot finish us off with just one more election.
The longer we wait to wage the battle of ideas, the harder it will be to win. And we cannot afford to lose any more ground.

Gamecocks should roll all over Vandy

Expecting the Gamecocks to roll is not a bold prediction.
Dylan Thompson looks comfortable in
the Spurrier offense. Expect scores.

It's really not a good idea to get into predicting game scores. There are people who consider it a source of manhood or intelligence to get a score right. But the intelligent should know how making predictions on college football scores can bite you. Predicitng a winner is one thing, but getting the spread right, is a totally different animal. That probably goes double for Steve Spurrier's teams at South Carolina.
Many, many times what seems logical with the Gamecocks does not happen.
If you remember the last time South Carolina went to Vanderbilt. It was 2012, and quarterback Dylan Thompson got into the game after Conner Shaw seemingly got speared in the shoulder and had to leave.
Thompson played the first two series of the third quarter and the offense went three-and-out both drives. Thompson was sacked twice and did not throw a completion in three attempts.
SC slipped by, 24-17. Fans were grateful for the W.
But forget all about that. First of all James Franklin is gone. Based on the theory that coaching is the most important aspect of the game (it is) not facing the fiery Franklin makes the 'Dores less of a threat. He is a GOOD coach. Vandy may come along with the new staff, but it will probably take some time.
Aside from Franklin's departure, Thompson looks more comfortable every time he takes the field for the Gamecocks.
Thompson has always been a find-the-open-guy - and pass-  QB. And that has to make Spurrier warm around the heart.
Spurrier likes offense. He HATES to give the ball up. Spurrier has said that. That's why he goes for it on fourth down so much.
Spurrier is also at his best when he demoralizes opponents with seemingly easy scores. Versus Georgia last Saturday, Thomson and his receivers made it look like a scrimmage at times.
And Vandy just does not have the personnel on D Georgia has.
Spurrier is just beginning to realize the machine he has on offense. On a team that has set records for wins for the school by playing defense, offense won the Georgia game.
With his new toy, a machine gun of touchdowns, expect Spurrier to light up the scoreboard in Nashville.
Will the Gamecocks cover the 20-point-plus spread, who knows. But if I had to bet, I'd say conditions look ripe for a scoring blitz. And and the improving Gamecocks' defense may finally be facing an offense they can handle.
The odds look good for the Garnet and Black.

GOP lays with Sanford, does it get up with fleas?

Are voters just trying to salvage the past with Sanford?
Why Republicans struggle to define the party's character

Mark Sanford admitted that he “crossed the line” with other women, when he was a married governor.
Not sure what “line-crossing” is, but all spouses should not want to get that news.
And five years ago, Sanford came clean about a very serious, and lust-filled tryst (e-mails were made public) with a toy in Argentina.
Before that, Sanford was a character-boasting, above-it-all, family-man pontificate.
But his dalliance was exposed after Sanford's political enemies tipped off a media, very hungry to catch a rising Republican known for his preaching to others.
After being busted at the Atlanta airport, Sanford's proclamation of enduring love for the cheat, resulted in Sanford leaving his wife and four children for the green, green turf of South America.
In between, Sanford, who once vowed to term limit himself, gave into his other addiction; adoration from forgiving voters. And the electorate of U.S. House District 1, Phoenix-ed Sanford to the U.S. House Seat, where it all began.
Through it all, Sanford has compared himself to the flawed David of the Old Testament, who sins. But David paid a consequence for what he did, I'm not sure Sanford has made good on the invoice for his discretion. Where's the remorse? Sanford talks more about what his offensive actions have cost him.
Sanford is more akin to the character of traveling bowling hustler Roy Munson, and one-time contender,  in the movie Kingpins. Hilarious, but far from the Biblical figure Sanford sees himself as.
Since walking out, Sanford has been accused of not paying his child support and possessing anger management issues with the person he most betrayed.
And to top it off, Sanford has now updated (on Facebook) the status of his girlfriend from home-wrecker-fiance, to former lover, without letting her know beforehand.
Imagine Maria Chapur's face when she clicked on the notification “Mark (Boo) Sanford has changed his status.”
While it is divine to forgive, is ignoring Sanford - politically - really doing Sanford any favors? Or is feeding this power just enabling the psychosis.
Some Republicans are going to the mat for Sanford. And given the fact that Sanford does espouse some strong Conservative fiscal policies, many may see it as the best we can do. But it's not.
There are good, moral and truly character-fit people out there. It's time for voters to get up, fumigate the fleas, and start adhering to the honor we should demand from the people to whom we entrust our offices.
