Trial lawyer hinting at insanity for child murderer

Is a trial lawyer setting up an insanity plea?
“Timothy Ray Jones Jr., 32, has been treated for mental health problems in the past, his attorney Aimee Zmroczek said. She would not specify what sort of treatment or problems he has had,” according to the Associated Press.
Anybody with any sense at all knows this man is crazy. You'd have to be to kill your five children.
His attorney also said: “He is being portrayed as a monster. He is just a man and is trying to deal with this situation," she said. “He is scared and simply wants someone to guide him through the process,” said the AP.
I'm sure his children were scared when they figured out what their father was doing to them.
His fear, or clams of insanity, should not make any difference. It is repulsive that after he took the lives of the five precious children God gave him, that a slick attorney is already testing a loophole to spare Jones' life.
Jones should be tried immediately. There is a confession, so guilt is not debatable. And there is NO reason that can be offered in Jones' defense.
Anti-death penalty liberals argue that the the death penalty does not reduce the murder rate.
If killers were tried quickly, condemned by the public, then executed, it has to have an affect on other would-be killers.
As it is, the trail lawyer industry is fat and filthy rich getting a lighter sentence for heinous criminals. In some cases, brutal killers attract a cult following of sick potential copy cats.
There should be NO legal maneuvering to deny justice to this animal.
Give Jones a chance to ask God to save his soul, then move on with the will of the majority of the people.
If this murderer is allowed to legally finagle some sort of deal, any judge, prosecutor or politicians related to it, needs to be removed from office.
And we, as voters, should keep our eyes open to make sure the law is carried out. We all lose when justice is perverted.
