The worst part of Clemson's almost-upset

Deshaun Watson looked
good vs No. 1 FSU.
Did Clemson settle its QB controversy?

The FSU fans are going to say it was only because Jameis Winston was benched that they almost lost.
Florida state beat Clemson 23-17 in overtime.
The Seminoles, with Winston back versus NC State in the next game will roll. Mostly because of the near-death experience Clemson put on them.
But Winston totally distracts from Clemson's truly inspirational effort versus No. 1.
Except for not winning, Clemson did come away with something very valuable. It looks like they found a quarterback in freshman Deshaun Watson. He performed well in the extremely intimidating surroundings of a Noles' crowd, backed into a corner.
It's no consolation to heartbroken Clemson fans on the morning after, but the game in Tallahassee was symbolic in that it was a passing of the torch from the past, and Tajh Boyd to Watson. The tigers have seen the future and it is Deshaun. If there is a controversy at QB, that will not be helpful to the team, at all. Deshaun looks like the man.
FSU will lose this year
Unfortunately, it was not to Clemson. But FSU is not a National champion. The Noles will blow a game in the regular season of 2014.

Not only is the team not playing at the level that it played last year, Jameis Wilson is an energy, and unity, sapper. Dressing out, and having to be corrected is totally selfish. And ABC (ESPN) did not help by constantly placing a camera on Winston to get his reaction. And Winston knew he was being focused upon, and played it up. That's not good for a team, especially on the college level.
