Gamecock post-game report - Can USC ban CBS's Gary Danielson?

Dylan Thompson has a big night.
Goes 21-for-30.
The smile on Steve Spurrier's face was as big as you've ever seen after the 38-35 win over Georgia.
The Gamecocks outplayed the Bulldogs and almost blew it in the end. Needing a break badly, Georgia missed its second FG of the night, late in the fourth quarter.
The Gamecocks O was as good. And it could be much better. Dylan Thompson is a keeper.
Georgia had a great RB in Todd Gurley, but SC had Mike Davis, and just as big in the end, Brandon Wilds. He took a third and long, with less than two minutes left, and made if fourth on two inches.
It was as Big a regular-season win in the Head Ball Coach career. It was obvious he really wanted it.
Defense was better, but has a long way to go. The D got Georgia off the field in the first half.
The defense had some spirit, but needs some more work. The mental effort and fire was there. It can get better. If it does, don't count this team out of anything, yet.
Who got the breaks?
SC got some breaks in the first half. Georgia actually got called for holding. That is rare, even though Ga. Holds a lot.
Gurley actually threw a couple punches, or at least pushes, and SC got flagged for it. That was an absurd call. And it was on a third-down stop.
In the second half, the officials flipped. SC got few breaks, but was victimized by some cut block calls, that were not really cut blocks.
CBS announcer for the SC-Ga. Gary Danielson was AWFUL.
He was obviously down when SC made a play, and upbeat, with a lilt in his voice when the Bulldogs did something good.
When the video of CBS showed that SC QB Dylan Thompson got the game-ending first-down, Dalielson said "No Way." He complained that the review process is not that precise. He was having a difficult time accepting that the game was virtually over, and Ga. would not get the ball back.
Danielson credited some great plays by the Gamecocks to mistakes by Georgia.
He commented on the bruising, hard and extra effort run that Mike Davis was injured on, by saying Davis does not have the breakaway speed of the great Gurley.
Danielson was so busy layering praise on Gurley he did not notice SC's Brandon Wilds. Wilds plus Davis trumped Gurley, especially on Wilds' last, almost first-down, but set up, run.
When it was obvious that SC would pull it out, Danielson warned Gamecocks fans not to get any ideas about the SEC-East. He scolded that Georgia only has Florida at a neutral site, and Auburn at home, whereas SC has to go to Auburn and Florida.
Either Danielson or almost as bad booth-mate Verne Lindquist complained about an eight-hour day. He said, as the clock ran down, it was not very fun.
If I don't go to the game again, and CBS broadcasts it, I'll get a radio with a delay so I can listen to the Gamecock announcers.
