Amy Kovach - a school district administrator in Berkeley County - was indicted in February on
an ethics charge for using of public funds to influence the
outcome
of an election.
It was reported Tuesday that she has
also been indicted by a Berkeley County grand jury on one count of
forgery.
Public funds to influence an election
is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $5,000 or one year in
prison.
Lexington County Council better be careful. Shilling for more tax money is one thing. But arrest, big fines and jail time are a much bigger deal than lusting after more money from taxpayers.
