The State news' Gamecock reporter says Georgia win not a big deal; problems, losses ahead!

The State's Josh Kendall
seems to have some pent up angst
that his prediction of a SC
loss did not materialize.
Beating No. 6 Georgia not significant. Problems not solved, and trouble is awaiting Gamecocks, says USC beat reporter.

Josh Kendall, USC Beat Reporter for the State newspaper, is discounting South Carolina's big 38-35 win over Georgia Saturday. Kendall, a Georgia grad, also predicted South Carolina would lose to Georgia.
In his Soundoff opinion piece Sunday, Kendall is spitting sour grapes. He implies beating Georgia was easy. The headline of his column reads: “Now comes the hard part for USC”
He said the Ga. win in no way means the "Gamecocks' problems are solved."
Kendall writes: "The Gamecocks have beaten the SEC East champion (Georgia) before....but" he says just one, not very significant win is: "all that was accomplished.”
USC fans would beg to differ. SC got off the mat after being laid out by Texas A&M, and delivered a punch so severe, some Georgia fans are likely again calling for Bulldog Coach Mark Richt's head. The Head Ball Coach got 'em again. Do you know what this loss did to Georgia's self-image? It's not good. And that may be why Kendall is so transparent in his tirade.
Spurrier put a mojo so strong on Georgia, some of them are likely at the root-worker's house this morning instead of church. It was a BIG win but Kendall says: "That the Gamecocks were expected to lose – and lose big – doesn’t matter now.”
WHAT?...It maters tremendously. Now EVERYTHING is back on the table for the Gamecocks.
But Kendall seems to be hoping there is a loss for SC in the next slate of opponents. He says: “What matters now are the next six games.”..... “Missouri is coming to town in two weeks and Auburn and Florida on the road,” He warns.
Keep projecting losses for the Gamecocks Kendall, like you predicted Georgia would win. You're just wishful thinking at this point. Coach Spurrier said he will take one game at a time, and hopes to get better. Unlike Kendall, Spurrier believes SC has “got a chance.” And if you pit Kendall against Spurrier, I'll put my money on Spurrier any day. Kendall was WRONG about Georgia, so let's hope he is wrong about the visions of Gamecock loses that are now dancing in his head.
