Thomas Ravenel is handing in 10,000 signatures, today, in order to get on the November ballot.
Ravenel, the convicted drug felon, wants to run against US Sen. Lindsey Graham.
There are a lot of deeply-dedicated Conservatives who may cheer for Ravenel. That temptation is strong for all of us, considering some of the betrayals we feel Graham has perpetuated.
But All Ravenel is trying to do is injure the Republican Party. He wants to elect Democrat state Sen. Brat Hutto to the US Senate from South Carolina.
You may feel the GOP deserves a swipe, and it does. The party’s dictate to support the “R” despite some missteps in office, is demoralizing.
But now is not the time to punish Republicans because Graham is not the best Conservative we can get. The US Senate is in play.
America has NEVER needed to send a message to Washington DC as much as it does now.
If the Republicans can take the US Senate - the bigger the margin the better - a lot of people will finally begin to see that President Barack Obama is more of an inexplicable facade than a viable political leader.
How Obama has lasted this long, is baffling. Maybe it was fraudulent voters? Could it be media lies and cover up have kept the eyes of too many closed?
Whatever the reason, voters need to send electoral damage to Obama and the media. Until we take the Senate from Democrats, the deniers among Obama's faithful will refuse to admit he has failed us on every level. They may still deny, but having the Senate will make being an Obama opponent more productive.
Get the US Senate from the Democrats and enthusiasm will buoy the hopes of disenchanted and depressed Americans.
If Obama, US Sen. Harry Reid and the Democrats lose the Senate, maybe we begin to see the end of the poor government we have suffered under since 2008.
If you care about really changing America from what Obama and the Democrats have done, REJECT Ravenel. We can deal with Graham later. Ravenel cannot win, but he can elect a Democrat.
We have had enough of Obama and the Democrats. We cannot afford any more.
