College football fans rejoice: TWC to carry SEC Network!

Fans on the many Gamecock fans Websites, like Gamecock Central, were vowing eternal hatred for Time-Warner Cable. The company had not reached a deal to carry the newly established SEC Network. But TWC has reached a deal to carry the SEC. Now South Carolina fans can see the Gamecocks vs. Texas A&M in the season-opening game on Time Warner.
The SEC Network launches on Aug. 14. ESPN, Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks reached an agreement for TWC to be on board when it debuts.
The Gamecocks play the A&M game at 6 p.m. on Aug. 28. It's a Thursday game, that has become a tradition at USC, for openers.
The SEC Network will be available to approximately 60 million households nationwide with the addition of TWC. TWC officials were giddy in announcing the deal. And many Gamecock fans are breathing a little easier.
