Metts, right, gets $100,000 bond. |
Former Lexington County Sheriff James Metts entered a plea of "not guilty" today in front Federal Magistrate Judge Shiva Hodge.
Metts was allowed to remain free on a $100,000 bond.
A Metts attorney was a little dismayed at the high amount of the bond. And obviously the judge does not consider Metts a flight risk or dangerous.
Metts faces a 10-count federal indictment, charging him with taking bribes in exchange for giving special privileges to illegal immigrant.
