A left-leaning gossip blog, that is run by a US Rep.Mark Sanford insider, is reporting that Sanford has chosen a liberal environmentalist as his new chief of staff.
Mark McIntosh is running Sanford's Washington, D.C. office.
The leftwing website ThinkProgress referred to him in 2011 as an “activist environmental lawyer” with “a long record” and a “significant background” in the eco-radical movement.
The Web log, FITS News, that has strong connections to Sanford, reveals the former South Carolina governor has a “green streak.”
Hard to believe since Sanford stresses his Conservative credentials, when he is trying to get elected. Not too many Conservatives buy into the Green industry - and the associated hoaxes - as a political asset.
If you are a Conservative who voted for Sanford, there is likely not much reason to worry about the hire. Like so many of Sanford's underlings, it's not likely to last long.
There are many who worked for Sanford, who HATE him.
Sanford is one of the least-desirable to work for, in DC.
Some see Sanford as a two-faced, self-absorbed narcissist, who plays a soft, gentle campaign persona, only to brutally savage employees behind closed doors.
It's all about Mark Sanford.
Sadly no viable contender challenged Sanford in his march back to an office he said he would not covet.
The one bright spot, despite the fact Sanford was a failure as an individual leader of South Carolina, he is better at following, and voting correctly in the US House.
But if his latest hire of a radical liberal manifests in a closet-break from Conservative votng, it would not be a surprise from the hypocritical Sanford.
