Ben Hoover's job being advertised by WIS

Hoover in civilian, not anchor, attire.
Ignoring pleas from thousands of hopeful Midland's TV viewers, WIS-TV is moving to hire a replacement for popular newsman Ben Hoover.

An ad for the job at WIS reads:

News Anchor/Reporter – WIS Television, the award winning NBC affiliate in South Carolina’s capital city, has an opening for a weeknight news anchor/reporter. Candidate must have at least 5 years of anchoring experience. This isn’t a job for just sitting at the desk-- the right candidate will be able to break stories, write and present polished packages and make live field anchoring come alive. Strong investigative background preferred. Ability to report live on location news events, as well as demonstrating strong multi-platforms skills including Facebook and Twitter. This is a special opportunity to join a legacy station in a great company. Please send your resume and reel online. No phone calls please. EOE-M/F/D/V.

I guess Hoover did not fit all of the personnel demands and requirements of WIS. He was not "their kind" of guy.
And the bigger question is: will the disastrous way, WIS-GM Donita Todd navigated the Hoover Debacle, cost the station? Many viewers vowed to never watch WIS again, in the wake of the poor handling of Hoover. And many others are likely waiting in anticipation, to see who will fit the WIS mold, better than Hoover. It should be interesting.
