Number of highway deaths down slightly in Lexington County

As of midnight Sunday, 20 people had lost their lives on Lexington County roads.
That is one victim less than was recorded in the county a year ago, on the same date.
The traffic fatality statistics come from the S.C. Department of Public Safety (DPS.)
In 2012, when Lexington County was second only to Greenville County in the number of recorded traffic deaths, 34 had been killed on the county’s roads by July 20.
In 2011, 27 had lost their lives in traffic accidents, on the same date,.
