Despite being a nice-looking candidate, Democrat Party baggage severely damages Sheheen's chances. |
Could Spearman be the only GOP statewide loser?
The State newspaper has a Sunday article entitled: “In SC, Democratic challengers question GOP incumbents’ ethics.”
Instead of telling the voters why a Democrat candidate is a better choice, Democrats must SMEAR their opponent.
Because Gov. Nikki Haley did not get some sort of so-called “Ethics” reform passed, the media attacked her, along with Democrat state Sen. Vincent Sheheen, her opponent.
In a real world (non delusional) political campaign, Sheheen would not be looking for an issue to run on. He'd be extolling the brilliance of Obamacare, $90 billion investment in “Green” energy and the success of the stimulus and the return on $8 trillion of an increased deficit spending since 2009.
But every issue attached to Democrats is not only a failure, but their policies are miserable, life-changing for families, debacles.
Under the Obama Administration, almost 12 million fewer Americans are working. Two income homes are now one earner. And newly graduated, in-debt students cannot find a job. But prices for insurance, food and energy have skyrocketed. How can any Democrat run on the party's record?
What may be a better strategy for Democrats is to run against their own party. But if you do that, with Obama at the head, you will lose too many special interest supporters, including the monolithic-voting Black Community.
With nothing positive to run on in the Democrat Party, Democrats have had to create scandals to drag down their Republican opponents.
The Democrat Party is in such disarray, the best chance a Democrat has to win statewide in South Carolina is to accuse a Republican of being “a Democrat.”
If Molly Spearman – Education Superintendent candidate -does not convince voters she is HARD-against Common Core, her opponent may be able to weaken her enough, and even draw some Republican votes.
If the state's education system is going to be destroyed, let's at least pin it on an admitted Democrat, not one posing as a Republican.
It's a sad state of affairs if you are a Democrat. But when you cling to a failed ideology, there is something very American about facing the consequences for it.
