State newspaper says SC is dependent on illegal aliens

Many pro-law Americans believe if amnesty is
granted, aliens will dictate the election of
more anti-American politicians.
The article is entitled: “Who’ll pick S.C. peaches? Immigration policy gridlock stymies farm labor”

A story in The State newspaper on Monday bemoans the fact that there has not been a legislative amnesty to allow aliens, in the US illegally, to stay here.
And, according to the article there are"conservatives"  who want cheap labor. The State quotes a couple of growers who may otherwise be characterized as Greedy corporate entities, if they were not embracing illegal immigrants to ensure more Democrat voters.
The State says: The idea by those on the anti-immigration front that (legal) workers should fill those agriculture jobs is simply out of kilter with reality.
The article does produce one damning quote for Democrats: “Chalmers Carr, the owner of the East Coast’s largest peach grower, South Carolina’s Titan Farms. “2006, 2007, even 2008, we had a very robust economy and there were not enough farm workers then.” Who took office in 2009?
The article quotes some pro-amnesty activists. But does not address the most obvious question. Could it be that you're not paying workers enough? If you have to rely on an illegal workforce, maybe you're not very good at managing your business.
Also interesting, the article says the Palmetto State has been a target to illegals. The State says: “South Carolina seen the greatest percentage increase in Hispanic population in the country from 2000 to 2010 – nearly 150 percent, according to the most recently available census data.
And because so many of the illegal population are children, our schools, already under severe stress, are shouldering even more of a burden, with students who would be better off in their country, where the learning curve is much less complicated.
In short: the article extols the merit of allowing illegals amnesty, but it does not tackle the expense, especially in an economy laid low by the very people who favor illegal amnesty.
While this message is an effort to persuade amnesty, we have to be thankful for the people who have badgered their GOP representatives to push back amnesty.

And we'll have to keep fighting some of them, until Barack Obama is replaced, hopefully with a pro-American president.
